Installed RC on my iPad Pro, I still need to install it on my iPhone 12. But so far it’s been running great, and the install was nice and quick! 👍🏻

Not before next week I guess
If we follow previous years it will be the week after public release, so two weeks from now

edit: actually 17.1 was like this, but 16.1 and 15.1 came a day or two after public release. we cant count 18.1 as that one came in the middle of 18.0 beta testing :D

Installed RC and switched off Beta Updates. Will I receive an update on next Monday public release version or no because it's exactly the same? Or only if the build number changes from RC to next Monday's release?

There’s a good chance that the RC Build will be the release, but either way if you have Beta Updates turned off, you’ll either get it still or you’ll already be on it.

I'm on the fence right now for either a RC2 today or I could potentially see Monday's release being a build or two higher then the RC we already got.

We don’t know yet. There could be an RC2 today or tomorrow or a new version on Monday.
Otherwise this current RC is the same version as on Monday.
If you disable the beta updates you will nevertheless get an update on Monday - if the final is a different version.

Could be.
Also curious is there are any release issues with the 17 models as seen in some of the years before.
iPhone 14: camera focus bug in some social media apps that could cause hardware issues
iPhone 15 (pro): some (over)heating and data transfer issues…
iPhone 16: nothing that I can remember.

They didn’t release a second RC for iOS 17 or iOS 18. They did for some 18.x releases though, and maybe 17.x
Not only that, there has never been a second RC on a X.0 release. 18.2 and 18.4 had RC 2s. A second RC doesn't make sense. A iPhone 17 release day 26.0.1 is more likely.

Just got this popup
