The download paused because my phone thought I wasn’t connected to the internet. That was false. But it continued again.

Oh I just remembered, we’re waiting for digital passports. That might be in 26.1.

Bruh my status bar keeps disappearing on the Software Update screen because of the lingering dark/light appearance bug (one can tell because back button is light)…really hope that’s fixed in .1 beta 1

.1 usually includes everything in .01 so yes to both
Yes, but I want to be 100%, and not just ASSume. I don't want to upgrade to 26.1 beta, then have to downgrade to 26.0.1 to get the wifi fix. So if folks who have th iphone 17 wifi issue, can report back, it would be greatly appreciated.

26.0.1 could get fixes that aren’t in beta for a while since betas are branched.

Consensus seems to be the battery is worse in 26:

It is definitely better than earlier betas, though. Will probably get better as they release incremental updates. Hopefully we get something soon.
I’m glad it’s getting better for you. Keep in mind though that “consensus” in a thread within a niche fan forum doesn’t necessarily equate to what the vast majority of users experience. Especially when running betas leads to higher risks of carryover bugs and such…

“New features are exciting and help you get even more out of your Apple product, though some may require additional resources from the device. Depending on individual usage, some users may notice a small impact on performance and/or battery life. Apple continually works to optimize these features in software updates to ensure great battery life and a smooth user experience.”

Even Apple admits it. And this statement is clearly separate from them saying there will be battery drain while the update is completing in the background. But let’s stay on topic.
