My updated guess around where we are at on this journey:
RC - May 4th week
Public - May 11th week
iOS 18.5 came out Monday May 12th last year.

I was debating on a install last night for beta 4, but hoping for a RC today I held off and saved some time. Apple seems to be fairly consistent on the schedule. With .5 coming May 12th last year, I feel confident we'll see RC this week.
RC should definitely be today if they have announced the pride bands.

It's says later this week, so assuming that means Thursday or Friday for the physical bands. I would imagine that means RC today and potentially Weds or Thurs for public. Faces also state they are in 26.5.

So just reread the article, thinking this will be correct. It makes it sounds like the wallpapers will be available later. So I am guessing Monday / next week will be correct.

Apple Store app says bands available on Thursday or shipped arriving on Wednesday.
I am thinking we get 26.5 this week. Last year, bands were announced on the 5th, with announcement saying bands available in store the next week (week of the 12th). 18.5 was released on Monday the 12th to coincide with the bands in store.

I can't see them releasing RC today and then final on Wednesday so they either skip the RC which is doubtful or release is next Monday, if final was coming this week I'm sure they would have mentioned it, but RC coming today makes sense if it has the new faces/wallpapers in it so they had to announce the bands today.

It's feasible to get both this week only because .5 isn't really a heavy under the hood lift. Wasn't a whole lot of huge changes. So RC today and then 48 to 72 hours later for the public isn't out of the realm of possible. But with the wording of the wallpapers being available later, I still think that hints at Monday.
