Anyone test out CarPlay yet?

It’s rock solid on my pioneer aftermarket head unit with a 3rd-party wireless AirPlay adapter (Alltotive S2 Mini). I haven’t tried the built-in wireless AirPlay with 27 yet, but that on 26 was useless with constant disconnects, could be better with 27 but need to test that.

Hi from France, 17 pro max here, my update from 26.5.1 to 27 was 20Gb .. crazy
First impressions for the first dev beta , it's really like snow leopard back in the day , battery life hurt a bit but still indexing , Joined the waitlist for SIRI AI ( using a Canadian App store account and using UK english as langage , still on waitlist . Things weird i had is no back gesture on safari like before , seems to have dissapeared , always on is weird cos not showing the wallpaper despite changing it ) Wifi icon and cellular icons have totally dissapeared overnight for no apparent reasons , glad we have different controls for volume but still not possible to set a back gesture universally like on my android for easier one hand usage seems crazy to me. No issues with banking app and games and such .
on the lockscreen pic you can see no wifi or cellular icon, but i found the workaround cos airplane mode , or restarting din't change anything, the fact that i took the screenshot of the lockscreen restored automatically both icons .. weird .
Forst a first dev beta of an IOS version, it's quite good and stable .

Both iPhone and iPad are still indexing. Going on almost 40 hours now.

Beta updates turned off? I had to refresh a few times on my iphone but my ipad still doesn't show iOS 27 and it's installed.

I reckon they have pulled it. I go into beta updates nothing just off no matter on the beta stage it would show Appleseed beta, developer beta, public beta. Also the beta website is offline

Anyone get Siri to access health data?

Try Siri how many steps did i do yesterday? Or anything similar.

I get “i can’t help you with that.”

I health app Siri is enabled to access health.

i installed the beta on my iphone 15 pro max and i had to reboot my iphone and it refused to turn back on, luckily i was about to put the phone in dfu mode and installed ios 26.5.

has anyone come across the bug in ios 27?

I think I read a post way back in this thread that there is a known issue with the 15s causing bricking.

Pics is 603.8GB. Messages is 146.8GB. I don't expect to be done indexing till iOS 28 is released. 😀

My personal experience…

Installed within 10 minutes of the iPSW available. Got off the waitlist with the very first wave of people. Running on 17 Pro Max.

This is, by far and it’s not even close, the single most stable (and smooth) beta since the iOS 12 beta.

Outside of lock screen customization, the OS has been both stable and smooth with very few issues. It feels really nice to use and some of the design changes have been growing on me (except the new “hard” ScrollEdgeEffects - those are still very ugly!).

Battery life has been, at worst, the same as 26 was for me. The new Siri is great - seriously awesome on the Mac.

One more comment, semi-unrelated…

I’ve noticed a lot of people discussing the stability of iOS 18, implicitly suggesting that iOS 26 was the OS that ruined everything. Are we forgetting the absolute s***show that iOS 18 was? iOS 18 was the version that really starting bringing light to the poor condition of iOS - with articles written, forums created, and videos filmed centered around the seemingly endless number of problems with iOS. Not even necessarily in this thread, I’ve just seen iOS 18 mentioned a lot recently.

Don’t know if it’s a Matter spec requirement to display in kW but auto ranging that down to 20W would look a lot better.

Updated last night around midnight. Then this morning about 11:00 am, I lost all internet on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. No wifi, no cellular. Except calling did work. Facebook comments did not work. X did not work. MacRumors did not work. I finally tried "Reset Nework Settings", and that fixed it. No clue why it happened.

Is Apple Intelligence gone from the EU for now altogether, following the most recent Apple and the EC issue? In iOS 26 in Settings I used to have the “Apple Intelligence and Siri” toggle, where I could enable/disable AI and tweak Siri settings. In iOS 27 beta 1 I currently have only the old Siri icon and no mention of the AI at all (see the pic). However, when I look in Storage, AI still takes 7GB of space.

And my iPhone and iPad are still being indexed since last night. What for, if I can’t have AI nor New Siri?

I don’t know if this has been posted but 3 bugs I noticed is that Apple Car Play randomly disconnects.

I get hit with the network interruption message sometime. Which may he the reason for the carplay disconnect.

And swipe to text doesn't work.
