Barely any content on phone. Barely have any music. Shouldn’t take a week for mine.
17 PM
My testing devices with basically nothing on it is still going. Strangely my main device that i have now put it on fished index in around 48 hours. Wife’s phone is taking its time too but it also has 650GB of stuff on it

Here are the steps I took to get the new Siri:
1. Opened the new Siri app to take a gander by typing Siri:// in Safari.
2. Pressed the side button to activate Siri and asked what’s the weather today.
3. Pressed the side button to activate Siri and noticed the animation changed to the old Siri and asked how many ounces are in a pound. The results were placed in the new Siri app, activated the new Siri, and I got the notification and new Siri app icon.

Hope this helps others.

I see they still haven’t fixed the keyboard still. Rubbish prediction and misstypes. Was hoping for improvements.
I just came to this thread to see if there was anything about the keyboard. I love the swipe keyboard, but it’s so stinking bad. I’ve had every single iPhone since the very first iPhone and if I find out that there was an android phone that typed with great accuracy I would switch. I understand the typing is me, but I believe with AI now there’s no reason for it to be so terrible and just plain AutoCorrect to the most nonsense words

yes, apple engineers in a couple of sessions have said some users may still be indexing for 1-2 weeks depending on your set-up of device and amount of content.
That's just ridiculous, so by the time B2 is out, it'll probably index again. Installed B1 a few hours after its release, still no Siri and still indexing 😕

Finally tried new siri out. That’s very incorrect lol

Interestingly when I spoke the question I got the same answer, but when I typed it exactly the same I received a presumably better answer.

Gave this a shot and it didn’t work for me. Oh well.

dont think there is anything special that you can do to get the new Siri.
after 50+ hours of waiting, finally got the new Siri. Still indexing though.

Welcome to installing beta’s also often the indexing was still happening on older OS updates they just didn’t tell you in this part of settings. You know all those people complaining that their battery life sucks for a week after install ? That was indexing running in the background …..

Edit- however reading and hearing what Apple has said about how the new indexing will support search, new Siri etc it’s worth it. I have noticed massive improvements in search across my devices especially in mail app

Despite being a B1, the battery life on my 17 PM is pretty good so far. I haven't encountered any issues so far with the apps I use, and stability is great. For my Ultra 3, battery life is on par with 26.5, and 27 also fixed an annoying bug where the "clear all" notification button wouldn't work. On 26 and 26.5, sometimes I had to get rid of the notification screen and then swipe down again for the clear button to work.

So far, 27 B1 has fixed that annoying watch issue. For a B1, it's a really good start.

totally agree. my old iPhone 11 is flying on 27 beta 1. its like a new phone ( it has nothing on it its only for testing. ) I have had the odd issue with some icons not rendering properly on my main phone I"m finding on my iPhone Air its far more stable Than the 26.6 beta and things feel more responsive. but then on an iPhone 16 plus its running like a potato. not sure why... but going to give it a few more days as its just started in index a few days after the update was done ( so guess that was a bug

Didn’t work for me…

I’ve been waiting for over 80 hours and still no luck.
But I did read this piece of advice from Steve Troughton-Smith in relation to getting Siri AI on the mac.
Try this terminal command:

I tried it earlier and it works.
sudo defaults write "/Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/GenerativeModels.plist"
"EnhancedSiriWaitlist" -dict-add Enabled -bool NO
Then reboot.

I thought that by having Siri work on the Mac, somehow it would speed up getting access on IOS, but no that’s not the case yet.

iPhone 17 Pro Max done with indexing but I’m still on the Siri waitlist. This after installing the beta 2 hours after the keynote.
Did you leave your phone on the entire time? I always power off at night. Probably why mine still isn’t done. I installed immediately after Keynote.
