Is there a simple way of getting the New Siri in the EU, ideally without having to create another Apple or App Store account?

I was in Switzerland for a day and managed to join the New Siri waitlist over there, but it disappeared when I returned back to France. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyone with an iPad and iPhone done indexing and on the new Siri willing to test something? My business email is in outlook on both my devices. I want to be able to search these using the new Siri when I gain access but I know it doesn’t look at the Outlook app yet. My thought was add my business account to my iPad and then ask on my phone for something. I am curious if the account is on the iPad and not the phone, can Siri still find the information. Or will I need to add the account to Apple mail on all my devices.

I hope that makes sense. I’m asking questions while still on my first cup of coffee over here.

I can’t get the top left to reveal notifications, no matter what I do. It just brings down the lock screen. Basically, I can’t figure out how to get to my notifications.

This is because Apple has no idea what they're doing with notification UX and refuses to admit it.

In your lock screen, swipe up anywhere except the bottom edge. This will reveal the Notification Center, or if there are none, a message saying "No older notifications"

So oddly I had a simple automation that sent a little message to my daughter each morning. Yesterday it stopped. I looked in my shortcuts and they are all missing. It's odd as the only thing that changed in that time was that I had rebooted the phone (a normal turn off, let it sit and turn it back on, not forced).

I am going to log into iCloud and see if they are there but it looks like they are gone.

For me all my automations were turned into Shortcuts. Like you it didn't happen for a few days. I had to recreate all of my automations again.

Automations have "turned" into Shortcuts but are still automated.

They should show in the "automations" entry of the Shortcuts sidebar, but also show as Shortcuts with weird names like "time of day 1" "focus 3" etc.

You'll see that they are all shortcuts with the automation trigger as the first "action" at the top. Once you get your head around it (it took me a while!) it's actually a big improvement. I renamed all my automations to something useful and put them all in a folder which I, unimaginatively, called "automations".

Now, any shortcut you create can be turned into an automation by adding an automation action. You can add more than one. They also sync across all devices via iCloud, with the automation triggers set to "disabled" on every other device.

Safari just vibe-coded an automatic dark mode extension for me that only applies when native dark mode doesn’t exist. Crazy to see this is possible!
Wow, how does this work? You ask Siri to do it for you, or Safari somehow detects that something is missing and uses AI to fill in the blanks for you? 😳

How do you do it? Also, it would be great to have it for Apple Mail!
Tap the icon in the far left of the search box, then Describe Extension. Copy and paste the message below. Its not perfect, so if you can figure out some phrases to tweak it and make it better, let me know!!

Edit: tried to multi-quote here but this site is failing me and i cannot make multi-quote work.

Applies a dark theme to websites that do not natively support dark mode. It activates automatically when your device is set to dark appearance.

Just tried it and got an error message below.

Update: got it working now. 👍

One of the things I hate most about iOS is using the lock screen for notifications. Even when I’m swiping and interacting the screen times out and everything goes away. With attention aware features available this just makes no sense.
Agreed. I wish there was a Notification Center in each app that showed a history of the notifications.

iPhone Air, Siri became available yesterday, still indexing.
I set Siri up, left ChatGPT extension off, and pretty much allowed all else.
Played with it for about an hour last evening. So far mostly good.

Woke up middle of night to find the Air very warm to the touch. Nothing running in the background that showed. App manager only had Proton Calendar in it. I rebooted it. Since then it has stayed cool. Nothing abbynormal showed in Analytics.

Anyone else with an Air and Siri having any issues?
