That uhhhh… didn’t quite work for me.
Should do, open Safari and tap the top left then tap describe extension. From there you can ask it what you want to do. IMG_2032.png

From what I understand, Apple Intelligence is now built directly into Siri, so for as long as Siri is enabled on your devices, AI will be there too. This means we can no longer turn AI off, unless we disable Siri altogether.

The EU and China versions, where the New Siri is not yet available, are probably only missing the separate Siri chatbot app and a new funky Dynamic Island integration. I suppose the backend is exactly the same, though, as I can see it interacts much better with my EU-based devices.

Is this about right?

Just tried the dark mode extension like people were talking about… this isn’t quite what I had in mind but I’m glad it did this 😂
This happened to me the first time as well, but I deleted it and tried again and got a different outcome with the same text 🤷‍♂️

Just noticed that we can no longer zoom into our FaceTime video streams from the rear camera. In iOS 26 we could zoom in and out, from 0.5 to 3x if I remember correctly. Hopefully this will come back in the future releases.

Finally got off the Siri waitlist and asked it what I thought was a simple question: provide me with a list of applications I have not used in the past year.

Siri told me it could not do this but gave me instructions on how to look at app usage to determine this myself.

When I pressed it as to WHY it couldn’t perform that action it gave me an excuse relating to privacy and lack of access to information on the devices.

I thought most of Siri was going to run on-device??

It's early, lots of stuff needs to be implemented and cleaned up - first beta! =)

What's worked well so far?

I'm noticing some actions at work, on their wifi, end up in errors - but on cellular are fine. I suppose the work's VPN blocks what Siri is trying to use

It is a privacy issue.

Making app usage public can put people in vulnerable situations at risk. It’s why the usage shows “recently deleted apps” instead of the actual name.

You can but you now have to double tap the little box with the rear view camera. That will open it full screen so you can’t see yourself just the rear cam. That’s where you can zoom in as per usual.

Long winded and annoying to double tap it rather than single tap to enlarge

What do you mean? You’re not making it public, you need the device unlocked to do those requests to Siri. At that point you could just go to the storage tab and sort by last time used

That’s a whole other discussion but they usually have their passcode already having been living under the same roof.

Ah, ok, thanks, I did not think of double-tapping!

Found a nasty bug today trying to move the Translation app around in a folder. Effectively froze the entire phone requiring a hard reset to recover. Trying to move other apps within the folder was fine but for some reason every time I tried to move Translation I got the same crash/freeze.
