Looks like internal testing revealed that Battery was not snappy and Safari was not lasting for a day in that build.. Hence they chose to postpone it by few mins.

Damn probably they don’t want news to clash with iOS 27 beta 5 so it was really pro sooner by one day to put the whole spotlight on the new shopping experience rip 😭

If I was a developer at apple, I would make that fake, just to mess with all of that refresh it all the time while waiting.

Edit to add: But it would report back to me every time someone pulls down to refresh, so I could sit back in my chair and see the counter just go higher and higher as thousands of people keep pulling it.

That means the iPhone event will be on Sept 14th, with Pre-orders on Sept 18.

Yes, but historically Apple has never done Thursdays. Pre-orders have always gone live on Fridays.

Not necessarily... They could do what they did in 2015. iPhone event on the 9th (the 7th is a holiday), and preorders on the 12th (Saturday).

9/11 fell on a Friday again in 2020, but the iPhone event wasn't until October due to delays and shortages from COVID.
