I have been on since PB1 and i can honestly say its stable so I expect this to be even better.

My concern was banking apps etc and they all seem to work that I have...
I mean... "stable" is all a matter of perspective, isn't it?

This was actually my first time dipping my toe into the deep end of the pool with Developer Beta 1, and it's been a good experience. It's at least been stable enough, that the issues I've seen have all been very minor and/or only aesthetic. (One or two were still worth providing feedback, of course. 😎 )

Not being funny but are we expecting the next dev beta on the 17th?
Based upon previous trends, that's certainly possible. As discussed at length earlier in the thread, this cycle has been a bit of an outlier, likely due to one or more deal breaker bugs that needed to be fixed before beta 5 could go out. Outside of that issue, it's not unusual for the betas to come marching out about once per week by this point in the cycle.

That is not remotely likely. Every beta cycle before a major release is around 8 betas before the GM. There should be a new beta every week from here on in until the GM is released. Then probably a 27.0.1 on release day.
Should be at least 3 more betas but if you consider Labor Day and when the iPhone event might happen either before or after Labor Day, it could be 1 more beta or 2 more and then RC. Actually was very surprised to see a ending builds already this soon this week. So that could indeed signal RC is coming in next week or 2... The fact Labor Day is September 7 this year which is normally the week Apple holds it's iPhone event the last 2 years, could change things up because we don't know what their plan is. And also remember September 11 is 4 days later so it's gonna be a messed up schedule unlike the last few years...

As @vbctv mentioned. We will have three more betas up until August 31st. if Apple is indeed holding the event the week of Sept 7th, that is when we will be getting the RC build with full release on Sept 14th
They will NOT hold the event the week of September 7, 2 holidays in the US that week. The Monday is Labor Day and the Friday is September 11th (25th Anniversary). Can't have preorders on a date that would be a holiday, atleast Apple never has before. It would likely be week before or week after...
That's what I was saying there should be 3 more betas, but we don't know this year because of the holiday schedule in the US taking out the normal week the event and preorders would be held...

Apple generally doesn't release a beta the week before the "show".. so its generally a 2 week period before the RC...
If the show is the 7th... the last beta would be the 24th.... If they end up doing the show on sept 1.. Tomorrow will be the last beta...

Friends, it’s almost Sunday! And it’s mid August, not that far away from the iPhone event and thus the iOS releases. Quite likely we’ll see another beta on Monday!

I do think that we are in weekly beta lands now, especially after Apple revealed that beta 5 was actually planned as beta 6.

I tend towards the later date. Also gives them more time to build up stock in the time of memory shortage.

I wouldn't rule it out...

2015 is a matching year. That year, Apple had the event on 9/9 (Wednesday) and pre-orders on 9/12 (Saturday).

2020 is the other matching year, but the event and release were in October due to delays.

I would say it is 99% unlikely in the current era. October would be more likely than that exact week. Also 99% unlikely preorders would start on a Saturday in this era. That would be chaos. I would say 95% likely that week is ruled out for the event, will likely be week before or week after and there is a chance with all the shortages that we could see a late event again...
