I don't get pixie dust, and I can't interact with what isn't there! I'm on an 800mhz iMac G4 in my office. How DARE Apple not give me pixie dust!!! I'm also waiting for Free Mobile Me, Free iWork, my G5 processor, and free aluminum outer casing! APPLE DOESN'T SUPPORT OLD HARDWARE CAUSE THEY HATE US!

FFFFFUUUUUUUUUU!!!1!10ne!

;) I had to.

I'm having the same problem as wd89. I created my Apple ID in 2003 and did not require an email address. Mine is two words.

I'm glad somebody understands me. I got mine in 2005 and it's just a name. I have changed my e-mail address several times through the MyInfo thing but my ID has always been the same.

Try using the email address currently associated with your Apple ID. In the login screen they show "name@example.com" which would indicate they accept any registered email address, not just .mac.com or .me.com.

Find my iphone works on my 3G..
So you just need to own a 4th gen device or an ipad in order to get this freebie. Afterward, you can link any device to it. Neat.

It would have been awesome if Keynote worked with AirPlay. Wasn't there a rumor at one point when a user claimed to have emailed Steve and asked about Airplay and Keynote and he responded with a typical short answer "Soon" or something like that?

I'm guessing it's not included, or it would have been mentioned.

It doesn't. Although no Apple services accept the email address associated with it, it's just for use in contacting me.

Why the hell do they take the service down to do the update? Google never takes Gmail down to add new features.

Taking a this service down for hours so they can very publicly update it in the middle of the day (if you live in the US) is just stupid, especially since its a service you pay for.

I'll bet you don't even pay for it.

Good idea but it says Apple ID is not recognised.

I'm guessing that's because I could theoretically create a brand new ID with the e-mail address currently associated with my account if that makes sense

I just confuse myself more over this as the minutes go by!

Apple, the new Microsoft in therm of quality, should fix its existing problems (like iOS 4 slowness on iPhone 3.0), rather than adding new features to generate more revenues!

Lol, most precise way maybe, but definitely not the easiest. That would be Safari > Empty Cache > Empty.

No, because that clears the page cache globally and removes zero cookies.

But the best way to do it is to just type "@/" or @anything-which-isn't-me into the login box.

Cool, just tried out Find My iPad… errr… iPhone feature.

Could someone explain what's the point of Remote Lock feature?
If the device is not locked at the moment then anyone can go to Settings and disable "Find My iPhone" feature, no passcode or password asked!
Totally pointless IMO.

So that if you lose your device you can lock it remotely! Knowing that someone isn't reading all of your contacts or making expensive calls is enough peace of mind for most people. A phone is just an object they can replace

Indeed. I think this is a serious flaw with the feature, but Apple hasn't rectified it. It would be very easy for them to require the MobileMe account password when toggling the feature on/off.
