Really happy to see that I can put tons of Apps in a folder on the iPad. Way more than the iPhone.

You can put up to 20 apps in a folder. On the iPhone the limit is 12.

I see the build is 4.2.1 Build 8C148. I have the GM 4.2 8C134 installed, but when I go to iTunes and try to Check For Update, it says, I'm up to date. How do I get 8C148? Thanks.

Download the version you need from one of the direct links (I think they are on page 5 of this thread). Then Shift-Click (on PC) or Option-Click (on Mac) the Update or Restore button (depending on which you want to do). Then you will get a window where you can navigate to the file you downloaded and it will update using that file.

Also, just to be clear...AirPlay only streams from an iPad, iPhone or iPod to an Apple TV, correct? I can't stream movies from my Mac's iTunes library to my iPad or iPhone?

But you can stream from Mac's iTunes libaray to your Apple TV. Airplay icon on lower right border of iTunes window.

Thanks for testing that. You're right that the DRM should be the same. I'll try to test whether videos connected to my account will stream to a friend's Apple TV as soon as I get a chance.

Alright so I tested it. The good news is rentals work, and they stream Dolby Digital audio as well. However, you must finish the download in order to play the content, unlike the AppleTV, which is also iOS, and allows you to start playback once a sufficient buffer has been downloaded.

You could "home share" your computers and play the library from one on the other, but you can't control one from the other....except, I guess, if you used screen sharing.

I've already downloaded 4.2.1 but not updated. Just want to make sure it's not an hour+ or something before I apply the update.

No problemas, and also works with find my Phone, no need for a iPhone 4

If he has an iDevice there is alway the Remote app. Perfect for that.

I'm using my printer attached to an Airport Express, our 3 macs have been able to print on it for months but my iPhone 4 can't see it with the new Airprint it just says no printer found, do I have to download something?

Re: iTunes Home sharing... I've kind of rendered this function irrelevant by pointing all my laptops to one iTunes folder on an external drive connected to my main tower... I'm thinking of connecting it as a network drive to the AirPort Extreme but for some reason the USB 2.0 connection actually has problems streaming HD versus having the Firewire connected to my old G4 tower and sharing via there.

Nifty thing I did, though... I used to connect my laptop to my KEF near field bookshelf speakers via an external amp. I dragged my Airport Express out of mothballs and set it up for music sharing, connected its audio out to that receiver, and can just stream to either that stereo or my main surround system in the living room from any computer... and as of today, directly from any iOS device too!

Don't mean to sound dumb but on my ipad after upgrade the 'new' mute button gives me the icon on screen but doesn't mute the sound (running ipod music)
