Blurry Backgrounds?

I just installed ios4 and all of my photos now look blurry on the screen. Bad Blurry...

Anyone else with this problem?

ibooks

I've been running the GM release since the day after it was released. It's been running terribly on my iphone 3g.

I did a search on app store on my phone for ibooks, just took me to a page that said ibooks is for ipad only. Couldn't get it to go past that page.
Then i typed the itunes.com url into safari browser on my phone, and it redirected me into the app store to the proper page, and it's running VERY slowly, but I downloaded the free winnie the pooh book.
Again, it's very sluggish on iphone 3g

How can I restore my iphone 3G if itunes does not recognise it ??? Got error message thanks to the update to iOS4...

with the amount of complaints about battery/memory leak, are you guys restoring from a new phone or a backup? im running the GM and my memory and battery works great but i restore as a new phone. my battery life is actually better than my jb 3.1.2. im on a 3gs.

I’d restore and setup as new, unless you just have to have game saves, app settings and texts.

7+ screens cut to 3 thanks to folders
Wish: Key thumbnail option instead of mini-thumbs within folders

Loving the personalized wallpaper.

I don't know how to use multi-tasking yet.

Nice smooth download and install, the whole thing took under 30 mins. Phone actually seems a bit faster (smoother), however all my photos (except ones taken with iphone camera) are all blurry. Anyone else get this??

16GB 3GS

I had that same problem. Luckily, I had backed everything up in iPhoto. So I unchecked the albums in iTunes, synced to remove all, rechecked in iTunes, and synced to add them back. Now they're back to normal.

Hi All,

I just updated iOS4 on my 3G. Everything ran smoothly... until the screen popped up to enter my pin code. I enter my pin code correctly, and returned to the screen with the single function to do emergency calls

Over and over again... have been trying to restart / reset my phone for 10 times ... Itunes does not recognise my phone anymore ... I just get the error : iTunes is not able to connect to your iPhone. Unknown failure (0xE8000065)

Help meeeeeeee

De-authorize your computer then reauthorize it. happened to me last year. this fixed it.

When I loaded iTunes 9.2, it took me 3 hours to do a backup on my 3G. Once I loaded iOS4 GM, it came down to a more realistic time. I could not load the GM until I had done a complete backup (it restores some data in the update process).

Others have indicated normal backup times with iTunes 9.2, but it didn't work out that way for me. Sounds like you've got a long backup time too, so expect a long process.

I'm getting an awful backup time too on my 3G. Probably take about an hour at this rate.

Updating since 1.5 hours and iTunes still hanging @ "Saving Database" (sorry I don't know the exact English phrase) blue progress bar approx. at 5 %. iPhone 3G 16GB filled with 9 GB.

Oh wow. Yeah my photos look horrible also! I'm on a 3GS, just installed 4.0 for the first time today. No jailbreak.

EDIT: Photos taken with the phone are fine. The problem is with photos that were previously uploaded to the phone. Not sure if re-uploading them would fix the problem.

That sounds good. Did you have tethering enabled before?

I'm still on 3.01 because I really appreciate my occasional tether, albeit at very slow speeds.

I'm happy for O2 to cap the data as long as tethering is thrown in for free.

i think it automatically lets you turn it on if you're on contract, but i bet o2 will get in touch after a bit wanting you to pay... lol.

have you only ever used an iPhone or what? Is this is a trick question? Because, who the hell wants to make 14 different Game folders when I should just be able to make one Game folder and throw everything in to it. Basically, Apple found a way (yet again) to take a simplistic feature that every phone in the world has had since the dawn of time and make it practically useless. Way to go Apple.

Well, then don't use Apple.

no. you are wrong. sorry.

iTunes does not open software update. you can see right in the photo that iTunes says there's an update available and to click Update to install 4.0. it's really not complicated.

Software Update is for Mac software. Not iOS. Don't insult people when you're obviously missing basic concepts yourself.

It runs through their update servers err.
