Boy, are you ever delusional, open your eyes and read all the complaints, then come back.

Echo 2011-
Don't even waste your time replying to that insipid statement, there are one too many fanboys on this thread that didn't even bother to read the header of how Apple is hard at work to rush release Ios5.2 without even testing the new build to rectify the quick drain battery and other malfunction issues. The problem does exist and is widespread. As i stated earlier, Apple is notorious for releasing products way too early and not yet suited for the commercial market just to gain market share. In 2011 this tactic is unwarranted but thats Corporate Greed at work.
Im confident that those who claim to have no issues aren't capable of identifying the problem in the first place......but i would bet big $$$ that they can sing word for word the entire Justin Beiber song catalog. Thats the mindset we have to deal with here from time to time but to each his own and as long as we can identify these kids by their vapid statements we can just ignore them and network with more intelligent people.

In conclusion I just throw my nose up into the air and ignore these functioning idiots (I never ever reply to them). I learned many years ago one shouldn't argue with or even acknowledge ignorant people especially when they can't read. :)

Cheers!

Lets admit it guys. The Apple engineer design very poor software. iTunes for Windows gotta be the worst software I have ever used for Windows. I think Apple might have done that on purpose :)

I think they should stick to building hardware and let someone else build the software.

Oh wait, maybe they should stay away from hardware too since they screwed up the antenna the last time. Any bets on what they will screw up with iPhone 5 - maybe the screen

I am hoping you forgot to use the sarcasm font. If not, Welcome to my blocked list.

That is a crazy statement. BTW - you think iTunes is the worst Windows software?? Just wow.

The bitter rivalry between these 2 companies is notorious and vile.
I don't use Windows but your statement would not surprise me in the least considering the amount of complaints regarding how bad I tunes works with the Windows platform.
Truly sad considering it's the the consumer who suffers.

Sports scores

How about adding sports scores to Siri. "Siri, who won the Bears game last week?"

Can't wait to see new functions in Siri. I am hopelessly addicted to it. I've stopped feeling odd about talking to the phone in front of people. Everyone is getting used to hearing me do it. I think Siri is fantastic.

5.1 can't come soon enough.

Maybe they can make it so siri can process simple commands on the phone- like the ones on voice control.

it irks me that if i turn siri on and ask to dial mom (using her name) it will take a minute , but if i have siri turned of and just use voice control the call initiates in 5 seconds.

Bingo. For security reasons I can't have WiFi or Bluetooth on at work. Using Siri with geofencing to toggle these every day would relieve me of two (admittedly minor) annoyances.

They aren't minor annoyances if you have to do them every day! :) I am in complete agreement!

I'm amazed at people who go to a forum to discuss opinions, and then block people when they don't agree with their opinions.

It reminds me of a flightless bird....

There's worse software. Like Office for Mac.

This 5.0.2 cannot come too soon: I have had to return 3 iPhones already due to problems with (1) the screen, (2) the home button, and (3) a half detached upper half of the Phone.

All of them had battery problems, regardless whether it was running 5.0 or 5.0.1.

If my fourth still has problems (it should arrive on Monday), I am returning it as well and I'll keep my money. And my iPhone 4.

Getting Siri to take a picture would be ridiculous, no matter how well they implement it - and I'm not sure there's a good way to do that.

Double tapping the home button from the lock screen and pressing the camera icon to take a picture is quicker than asking Siri, let alone waiting for it to respond. Maybe they'll do it for completeness, but it won't be very useful unless someone has no idea how to use the phone.

It would be beautiful if Apple could implement "Actions" so just like Siri interfaces with Reminders when you say something like "Siri, remind me to [..] when I get to work," you could say "Siri, (when / every time) I get to work turn off WiFi and Bluetooth" and have Siri create that action.

For the last time it's so you can set a timer to take a group photo, Siri will countdown and say "say cheese".

I think it would make more sense to make Siri more accurate then doing some fancy features these advance features can come at a later date. When Siri is more accurate

Id love to see these.

Siri playing/searching youtube videos
Facebook/twitter integration
Siri to text my wife automatically when i leave work

What's the point when there is google maps? Works perfectly fine.

You know, some people travel. And data roaming is expensive, plus google maps isn't navigation, it's a map.

Nokia/Ovi Maps is the best feature of Nokia phones, and something I really miss in my iPhone. On my last Nokia phone you could get GPS offline navigation for free for most of the world. You just download the maps before you travel. And since you just download what you need, you don't have to use 2GB for Europe, but only 200MB for the UK. And did I mention it's free?

So free, great maps, where you download what countries you need for the moment?
Or 100 USD for TomTom Europe, 2 GB, and then if you travel to Australia, you have to buy another TomTom package for 50-100USD?
;)

Why would the iPhone require a release for new Siri commands?

I presumed these would constantly be updated on Apples server end?

I hope that Apple sort the UK mapping and location out soon, really looking forward to that

they should have already thought of and added these features in the 1st release.

I think all companies should do that. Think of all the features ever needed and include them in the 1st release so no updates ever required. Also, they should fix all the bugs too - even the unforseen ones. And make the phone able to fix it's own hardware errors with, like, nano-technology. But they should definitely think of things they haven't thought of yet.
