I'm thinking it will increase in functionality once developers start updating their apps to work with it.

Hopefully. Do you know is the notification screen as an public API's.

As in would it be possible for Developers to create things like the stock and weather widgets for the notification screen?

Probably because an iOS update is a lot less frequent than downloading apps.

Even so it is nice that they at least give you a warning that you could go over your data limit...

Not sure why they can't do the same with normal apps.

Just thought I would mention this: did the update OTA on my iPad 2. After installing, it now shows me the old "Connect to iTunes" screen and sits in restore mode. Any other iPad 2 users seeing this result? :)

Just installed on my iPad 2 OTA via WiFi and no problems here. I did do a fresh install of the last Beta ( 5 ) as they had instructed. Did you?

Sure that would be nice. I think, however, the reason is to not overload the cell network with people downloading apps everywhere for long periods of time because of the larger file sizes. So I guess maybe their logic is that iOS updates are so relatively infrequent that the carriers allow it.

That's my guess, anyway.

Is there any hint of NFC capabilities? I doubt this will be included in the next iPhone if there is no hint at all.

Can anyone comment on if it fixed photo library stuff? Instagram, syncing, etc.

OTA update worked great for me over 3G.

The only thing I've noticed so far is it fixed the issue where some of my camera roll pic thumbnails we're missing after updating to beta 4 OTA. Glad to see that

Yes. The secret NFC code increases the weight of an iPhone 4 by 0.2 grams.

The ironic thing is, more code may actually increase the mass, due to increased entropy in the memory (it's been a few years since I did thermodynamics, I can't recall if entropy contributes to net mass or not).

Yep looks good. Photo Library images are correct on mine now and instagram works fine now. Before it was getting stock in processing image or a weird delay in putting the photo in tot he camera roll. Seems good now.

I didn't have any problems with beta 5. It worked much better than beta 4. I'm about halfway through getting beta 6 but I don't expect to see much different visually but additional improvements would be nice. I still want to see something with news stand, though. Just sits there kind of lame.

For me, the only thing was a black screen for 10-15 seconds "sometimes" after unlocking the screen. I was procrastinating for filling a bug report. Will see soon enough, if procrastination paid off(as it always does...)!

The rest is pretty solid, from my point of view at least.

Has anyone ever noticed that the social networks in Contacts (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) don't sync between the Mac and the iPhone?
