So, I did an OTA update, and now iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone. Wants me to restore from a Backup .... which I'm now doing?

What is the point of that?

One thing i just noticed that is different is the Tweet sound sounds totally different. I liked it using before for text messages (although it was kinda quiet) but the new one is kinda annoying (but it does sounds more like a whistling bird.)

For all non-devs installing these betas - please, please, please stop rating apps as buggy. You're killing the developers.

Request of the year. It is getting out of hand. Why do people expect developers to update their apps to support a closed beta. The beta is for them, not for you. You know who you are.

The ironic thing is, more code may actually increase the mass, due to increased entropy in the memory (it's been a few years since I did thermodynamics, I can't recall if entropy contributes to net mass or not).

Common sense and logic would tell you that it does not.

That kept happening to me with beta 5... no matter what I did... reboot phone, re-install itunes, restart my MBP... every time I plugged my phone in it kept going back to that set up screen which asks you if you want to set up as new phone or restore from backup....... Looks like that issue has not been fixed, I havent been able to sync or backup my phone since beta 4 :(

Did you have to wipe your settings and what not through the settings app like what the Info said?

I'm not home yet, but i'll check if i have the update ready. I was just wondering whether we still have to do that or not.

I have gotten that issue as well. And I restored for a backup that was 4 days old that didn't have the issue, and since then I haven't got that prompt. Something must've happened to it at some point... reverted to the older backup fixed it.

Dammit! This annoys me. I like it better before.

You dont have to wipe for this version.

I had this same issue in Beta 5. Any attempt to sync both my iPad and iPhone, whether plugged in or wirelessly caused it to tell me that iTunes had been synced with another iOS device and that I needed to either restore from an older backup or set up my device as a new one. I searched around a little bit and found a solution that worked.

Connect your device to your computer with iTunes open. When it shows the screen that asks if you want to restore or set it up as a new device, select new device and click Next. On the next screen, it'll ask you to name your phone. Just click Next again. As soon as iTunes starts the sync session, unplug your device immediately. After a few seconds, iTunes will say that the sync session failed, but the next time you connect your phone, it should work normally again. I didn't have to reset my phone, but it did reset some of my preferences and tried to install all the apps I had in iTunes the next time I did a sync. However, it's much easier to clean that up than to go through a whole backup and restore.

iWork Beta 2

What version is Keynote beta 2, Numbers beta 2 and Pages beta 2 because when I added it to my iTunes it asked me if I want to replace the old version I had and I click replace and i'm getting mixed version number under settings about about the version i'm on of Pages, Numbers & Keynote

iPad 2 went into recovery mode after OTA update began. Used TinyUmbrellas Exit Recovery feature to kick it back out of recovery. Update began to install as normal. Update finished, iPad seems to be just fine.
