I'm about to go to bed but send me your info when you get a sec and I'll get you signed up.

The above poster got me a little cautious about bricking my iPad. If I send you my email in a PM, and if you're kind enough to accept, will you be keeping all of our UDID's active on your thingy until the public release. Sorry for doubting you, I'm just making sure.

I've added about 15 people so far and will not be removing anybody. All the files are uploaded and ready to go.

And just think. When Apple finds out, they'll not only permanently ban your Developer Account, but also all of the UDID's you've added.

And on top of that, they just might sue you to really ruin your day. After all, you've broken the NDA you agreed to 15 times. They can, and just might, seek legal action against you.

And if you seriously think that they aren't watching for developers who suddenly add over a dozen UDID's on the day of a developer beta release, you're high.

Apple will be suing a lot of people then.

If I download the ios 5 beta and itunes beta can I install it on my ipad or iphone if im not a developer?

Will the installation ask me for a apple ID of a developer or something like that?

apparently there is a work around.... not sure if it works though but itunes will say it is uneligible to install the software

I have someone that's willing, but how might I register my UDID? And how if I have windows would I get the ipsw and stuff installed.

I'm 99.99% sure you cannot do it on windows. You need itunes 10.5 which is Mac only.

When installing it, it goes through an activation process which communicates with the dev center. If your iPhone and/or iPad is not registered with the dev center it will brick. You will get a white screen and nothing more.

Ok guys. I'm heading to bed. PM if you are interested in getting registered and I'll reply back in a few hours when I wake up. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the download link huss8585;)

From a security stand point, I see this new integration and cloud syncing as a major security concern. My concern is this, when does it end? Is there anything about our personal lives that cannot be and will not be accessed in order to profile us? I have long since said that a smart phone is evidence to be used against us. Even if we are not doing anything illegal a individuals private business is just that it's private and should not be accessible via cloud storage by individuals in government and corporate entities. Problem with this scenario is that people are "willingly" lining up and freely doing this under the enticement of simplicity and sheer laziness because they are unwilling to educate themselves about these powerful tools in which they are wielding, the (P.C) is the tool in which people "choose" to remain ignorant about. This is a very scary scenario when viewed in the proper educated perspective and light.

We are entering into a age where people are willingly giving up their freedoms and liberties and constitutional rights for the sheer convenience of being lazy and are being allowed to remain ignorant and they basically posses a loaded gun metaphorically speaking!

Sorry, I know most will disagree with my perspective on this but, I see it as societies responsibility to educate and empower people not endorse ignorance and laziness!

What are you afraid of dude! Sounding a tad bit paranoid here!

Does anyone know if there are any functionalities that are left out on the 3GS? Kinda like when the iPhone got iOS 4 but no wallpapers and multitasking. Can't test it myself.

So if I'm a beta tester for an app, does this mean that I should be able to update to ios5 without any errors?

Does anyone running the beta know yet if the new Reminders function allows repeating tasks? Not having it stopped me using the To Dos in iCal before...

Cheers

Sadly no. Was hoping to replace the ToDo app with Reminders, but Reminders seems pretty basic as of now.

Grrr - oh well, will stick to ToodleDo. Thanks for quick reply. Hopefully it'll be on Apple's Reminders list for iOS 6

Obviously for me to elude on the personal privacy act would be a tad pointless with people that dismiss their personal rights and freedoms that our country was founded on.

Why is it that everybody finds this acceptable and perfectly fine these days?

Boy the younger generations just have complacency bred into them these days!

You guys are just a tad too dismissive these days.

I'd like to think that folks who are posting in this thread who are having difficulty figuring out this PM concept are just not quite ready to run a beta OS on (presumably) their only handheld device, with no guarantee of being able to go back to what they had at the beginning.

As much as this pains me to type this....if folks want to be able to download and install a beta OS on their phone at any time, maybe those individuals need to look at the Blackberry platform....
