I'm sick of the samsung references everywhere. Samsung is a scumbag company, which is why i tend not to buy a samsung phone.

Now, android is another story. While i don't like google, i think the nexus 4 is pretty good.

And Apple has such a stellar reputation? I think young boys and girls in China may disagree with you.

----------

yes. i say so because when i have multiple app updates waiting for me, i simply click on 'update all' and i've noticed downloads on multiple apps simultaneously. hope this helps.

----------

did they already get this? is it active on the sgs3? i ask because i heard they'd get multiple accounts on the windows phone. never heard this launched on android devices. just curious... i have a friend that's anxiously waiting for this feature and would love to get it on his sgs3.

Multiple accounts have only been released on the Nexus 7 I believe...definitely not on android based phones yet.

Cute; i never said apple had a stellar reputation,
I think young boys and girls in china will not disagree if i did tho.

The new feature is called- learn to read the thread before posting a question that's been asked 1000 times.

That's not even possible because this thread doesnt have 1,000 posts maybe you are thinking of something different

I still have the feeling that there will be a beta 5 the end of January. A keynote for the newest iPads and a GM release for 6.1 on early March. And a preview of iOS 7.0.

Playlist support for videos? On 5.1.1 I was still able to play video from playlists in the musicplayer. On 6.0.2 the playlists are still there but empty.

----------

Bitrate kickback ( low quality ) on the youtube app while on a fast connection might be a youtube issue, but could also be locked in iOS...
It happens when watching within safari too.
Fixed?

It's probably worth mentioning that they only removed background audio from Safari only.

So what does this mean..i cant play youtube videos and close my screen anymore? Or play music from Youtube in Safari and go to a different app?

-Expandable and actionable notifications
-Better multitasking
-Google Now (better than Siri)
-Panorama 360 compared to iPhone's 270
-Multiple accounts
-Widgets
-Gesture Typing

Actually I have found that multitasking is better on my i5 then it is on my brother's Note 2. We had plenty of the same apps open on both phones and when i was switching thru apps on both phone the Note 2 had to refresh a good amount of the apps all over again while the i5 was perfect with no apps having to refresh. I guess you can credit the A6 chip for being better then the Exynos lmao

Cry more. Or switch to Android, nobody cares that you don't like iOS 6. The vast majority would disagree.

I don't buy that. I'd bet a lot of money that the Internet would be in an uproar if iOS 7 doesn't include a system wide design overhaul.

As for missing features?

3rd party notification center widgets; as well as new Apple ones like Wifi & cellular toggles.
3rd party Siri integration, and some seriously beefed up native Siri abilities. Like, twice what she can do now. Plus the 3rd party stuff, approved through the App Store.
(NC widgets also approved via App Store)

After doubling Siri's capabilities, which are underwhelming at best; how about an equally drastic improvements to Dictation. Including clear, concise, and well publicized grammatical commands. So that it can actually be used for writing a paper like profession software rather than just the occasional paragraph one has to correct anyway. I know there's sentence structure commands now, but they don't always work. they've been changed on us a few times. and I'm still not sure why they onlt work half of the time. Like "cap that" or "new line" or "open quote," just to name a few.
So a standard list ghat actually works for Dictatjon would be an important part of that drastic Siri improvement desperately needed..
Oh. And why open safari for a Google search? same with Wikipedia? Whh can't that be pulled up like Wolfram Alpha? and speaking of Wolfram Alpha inquiries have to be phrased very particularly, even sometimes not working when giving the command "Wolfram Alpha" when I know full well the query is in there.

Oh! And a fix for the whole Facebook calendar birthday fiasco. A way to save a friend's FB data right into the iCloud contact, by manually choosing to do so. So that fb info can be on the iCloud contact as well. Same with their Facebook photo.
And the ability to disable certain Facebook friends from showing in either contact list.

Those are things iOS 6 desperately needs.
Perhaps the doubling of Siri/Dictation features and accuracy could wait ’til iOS 7.
But iOS 7 is almost bound to be an iOS overhaul. What with Ive calling the shots. And if its not - people will be pissed. mark those words.

and no I'm not gonna switch to Android if anyone wants to act like all is perfect and nothing needs changing. I had an iPhone since the day it came out. Gen one. Edge only, no MMS, & Apps didn't exist. And, in terms of basic design and organization — I have had the same exact phone ever since. Albeit, it came into its best possible form. But now, it's time to go for a new look. Once you have little more to add — you reinvent. the alternative is stagnation.

Is it as good as Microsoft's Panorama on iPhone. I like it better than Apple's solution, not just panoramic, but can go up and down and all around.

Just resolution seems lower than the native solution supports :/

Photosynth on the iOS App Store can do 360 panoramic shots up and down aswell

Interesting fact.

iOS 6.0 beta 4 lasted 37 days before beta 5
iOS 6.1 beta 4 is on 37 days today

This is getting ridiculous, apple needs to release a new build this week or else many people's phones will be rendered unusable next Monday

Looks like Craig is even a bigger idiot than Scott.

This is why betas are for developers, and they specifically tell you NOT to install the beta on a device you depend on. This a risk you take when installing beta software. If I recall, this has happened once before, where the beta expired before the next one was released. I could be wrong on that, it was an earlier version.

Oh, say it isn't so. Why would Apple remove that? To *make* use some service we have to pay for instead? Just this past week I was watching the Lance Armstrong interview from my iPhone (Safari) streamed to my AppleTV. Worked wonderfully. AND I was able to use the phone for other stuff at the same time! So, when we get the 6.1 "upgrade", we're going to LOSE that ability?

:-(

Only if you was watching a video via Safari.

I dont think iOS 7 is going to be a overhaul, but there certainly will be improvements to the UI , new font maybe? Redesigned stock apps with more features, quick reply for messages, improved notification center etc

You will still be able to Airplay videos from Safari to your TV, now you just cant turn off the screen or switch to a different app i guess

Here's a picture I found of the purple glare from a while ago, and here's a recreation of it that I just did.

Very interesting...could you do more testing? Is this on the iOS 6 beta on your iPhone 5? They got rid of the purple flare? Not that it bothered me at all its easy to eliminat the purple flare 100% from your photos but this would be cool if they fixed it
