Apple removed background play in 6.1.
You can't keep playing music or video in the background anymore. (other apps are fine)

Pandora and this other music app called "Digitally Imported" that I've tried both work fine playing in the background. I use Pandora everyday.

iOS 6.1 Beta4

This is the age old problem with Apple and iOS. Over the years they have refused to give us any significant upgrades. Whilst the products overall in my opinion are of superior build to the competition the software is greatly lacking in an ever changing technological society. Sadly to say if Samsung were to put some serious effort into a better build for theis devices then I firmly believe many Apple users would migrate to that brand as they would now have more of a better rounded product.
Make no mistake I agree with the concept of when you have a great product you need not make any unnecessary changes, but iOS has fallen behind over the years and is in need of new fresh ideas introduced to make it more competitive in today's market.
When I look at iOS and iPhone 5 in comparison to the Samsung GalaxyIII with Android the Samsung on its software basis far outweighs the iPhone but lacks the build quality.
I really hope they can give us the Apple consumers and loyalists something fresh in 2013 or we might see a serious decline in Apple iPhone sales this year.

Fallen behind how? What must have features does Android have that iOS doesn't?

*waits for the obligatory "It'd be perfect if you could skin the UI!" response, as if skinning is somehow an innovation*

Looks like its gonna be 6.1 GM Monday morning. I have an app in the App Store that wasn't displaying iAds in iOS 6.1. It just started displaying them tonight. I'm thinking it's because they have made it ready for public release.

I just hope they add some new features although it seems highly unlikely.

-Expandable and actionable notifications
-Better multitasking
-Google Now (better than Siri)
-Panorama 360 compared to iPhone's 270
-Multiple accounts
-Widgets
-Gesture Typing

A lot of these would be great for a tablet, which is why I almost purchased a nexus 7. The only thing stopping from jumping to android is the lack of tablet-optimized apps.

I've got a quick question. Can you simultaneously download apps or music in iOS 6.1 ? Please test it before replying! Thanks

yes. i say so because when i have multiple app updates waiting for me, i simply click on 'update all' and i've noticed downloads on multiple apps simultaneously. hope this helps.

did they already get this? is it active on the sgs3? i ask because i heard they'd get multiple accounts on the windows phone. never heard this launched on android devices. just curious... i have a friend that's anxiously waiting for this feature and would love to get it on his sgs3.

Jelly Bean supports this on tablets only

It's actually better

Is it as good as Microsoft's Panorama on iPhone. I like it better than Apple's solution, not just panoramic, but can go up and down and all around.

Just resolution seems lower than the native solution supports :/

I'm sick of the samsung references everywhere. Samsung is a scumbag company, which is why i tend not to buy a samsung phone.

Now, android is another story. While i don't like google, i think the nexus 4 is pretty good.
