iOS 6 Beta 1: Current Bugs & Flaws Thread

iOS 5 went to beta 8. Then the final beta. I think, could have been just 8.
So yes they will have updates and they will fix somethings and break others.
In iOS 5 they broke match then fixed it then broke it then broke FaceTime. It was great fun.
Also the battery life changed every beta.
Some will be OTA others you will have to do a full restore.

How will we be notified of the updates? Another Newbie question lol. Is it automatic ota?

It's OTA. I can't remember If this works in the Betas but you get a number 1 on the Settings icon meaning there's an update

Another issue

When on retina iPad (3rd gen) the artwork and UI from an iPhone app isn't the retina version but instead the standard quality artwork.
 
Is anyone else not able to send picture messages to non-iPhones? Whenever I send picture messages to people they just get a white square instead of the picture.
 
it keeps telling me im not subscribed to itunes match now. Even though it expires november 14th....

I've been having that issue, and someone else had tweeted me also. I reported it to apple, and hopefully they fix it in Beta 2. It's quite annoying. It's sending the pictures like a video/slide show. tmobile users don't even get it. Verizon can view it, and sprint can't display it. From my own personal tests.
 
One thing that is bugging me with Siri...

If you say - "Dial One Eight Hundred five five five one two one two"

She says (in her more robotic voice) something like:
"Dialing One hyphen eight zero zero hyphen five five five hyphen one two one two" -- Maybe it's always been like that.

Of course, when I did that I hit "end" immediately. Now Siri is gone and can't be called up again for some reason. Time for a reboot.

Used Siri for driving directions yesterday (Boston area) and it worked pretty well.
 
3G connectivity - iPhone 4 iOs 6b1

Anybody else unable to disable 3G on their iPhone 4 running iOS 6?
 
I have the same problem with WIFI disconnectios and many Appz I Use shut down unexpectly... Also black screen on camera and Yahoo messenger some times... battery drain fast!
 
Maps crashes a lot
Photo Stream stopped working as far as pictures taken with the phone showing up in Aperture

It depends... With IOS5 some releases were OTA some required a wired install.
 
This goes for iPad 2 & iPhone 4s:

-Safari is crashing about twice as much in iOS 6 as it did in any of the previous final versions of iOS 5.

-in full web pages on safari, there is now button to attach pictures on most pages that you'd normally be able to do this. In the safari version of Yahoo mail, the button is there & it let's you attach an image, which shows up in the attachment section, but when you send the email, no image is sent with it.

-auto brightness, as with many others, isn't working correctly.

-can't get VIP email notification to work.

-not all notifications are coming in properly.

3D maps not working

Hey I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem. I have an iPod touch 4G and whenever I go to maps the 3D icon disappears. is this an error or is the iPod touch not able to support 3D maps????:confused:
 
I have been having problems sending pictures to people that aren't apart of ATT or have an iPhone. The Verizon people I send pictures get the error that the multimedia message isn't supported. Any way to fix this?

I am using the iPhone 4 with ATT.
 
Has anybody tried the "Late Night Mode" iPod EQ setting? Do you actually hear any difference? Or does anyone have any detailed information about it? Tried googling but in vain.

I'd assume that it drops the bass out, but don't take my word for it.
 
Auto brightness does work the way it should . Leave open the adjustment screen and walk in and out of the light, u will the lever move accordingly.

It also randomly lowers itself which is probably not how it is supposed to work. Certainly it is not how it used to work.
 
Depends on the lightning , if it's happing in the same light than its a bug but if your in a slightly different light than I think it's just way more accurate this time.
