Sounds really nice. Would really appreciate someone recording it as it seems to only work on random devices.

wish i could but its soo subtle and fast my ipad 2 could not get a decent recording with its super crappy camera plus just checked again and my 4S is not doing it now not sure if its a beta API not fully implemented

Has Safari a unified address/search field? Because this is quite annoying, once you get used to having only the single field in the desktop version of Safari.

I reckon this and the ML-style dock will be in the GM. :)

As far as the fading goes, I'm pretty sure it's just the backlight catching up to the display, now that I've looked into it closer. Like its adjusting itself to the room's lighting as soon as the iPad is awaken.

Just noticed that the navigation bar in Photos no longer quickly fades black when going into Camera Roll or albums. Was this fixed before?

This was in previous betas but if you do triple click home on "ask" then it will give you an option to invert colors instead of negative

There's a Newsstand button in the Settings app which I don't think was there before underneath Photos & Camera... I think it might have been in the App Store Settings before?

That app that used to turn Bluetooth on and off from the home screen and got removed from the app store (Bluetooth OnOff) no longer turns the Bluetooth on and off :(

And I don't know whether this is a feature, but the battery level on my iPod Touch appears to be going up instead of down...

If that is true then it just means that Google did a ****** job.

It's only partially true. Apps can register themselves to run certain schemes. Facebook has the fb:// scheme, for example. Try it out: go to Safari, enter fb:// as the url and it will open the Facebook app (if you have it installed). Now, since youtube links are simply http://, it becomes a little harder, but Google could detect whether you're on an iPhone and redirect you to the YouTube app if you have it installed.

wonder when youtube [google] will come out with their own app..

Here's an example of the number of labels that can appear in a densely populated tourist area.

On the Las Vegas strip you can see hotels, casino, museums, metro, restaurants, civic centers, and gas stations. Impressive, to me at least..

After further browsing, this is a mild example. In many downtown areas, the number of restaurant labels over crowd the satellite images.

Volume levels are back to normal. In Beta 3, I had to turn the volume up louder than normal to get my desired level. Also, I could be wrong but it seemed like audio quality was a bit degraded. Seems much better now!

Awesome, thanks! Looks very nice and smooth and consistent. I like it. Wish it was working on my devices..

i think it is the auto brightness causing that though cause its not doing it 100% of the time and not at all when auto brightness is turned off

Can someone post a pic of the default home screen layout in beta 4 ? Mine now has two less icons and it should be full . I know YouTube is gone but what else should be on home screen ?
Thanks

There's an option called "reset homescreen layout" in settings that restores the original layout for the home screen.
