Happened on 7.0.4. I have set my events without alert for calendar on my Mac (mavericks) and on my iPhone it was ok, but on my iPad mini events got default alerts o_O

i was getting them all across the board, iMac, iPhone, iPad and iPod.

Anyone know how iOS 7.1 beta 2 is on the iPad mini retina? Thanks.

running awesome on my iPad mini first gen too. only bug i have seen was in the notifications menu, the "no notifications" text all of a sudden wasn't centered anymore. a reboot fixed it though.

iOS 7.1 Beta 2 Bug Fixes and Changes

It's super fast :) Love it. Had to update it because I have this on my iPhone 5s and my new iPad seemed really slow lol. Apparently it's coming out in March now.

Anyone who's still having app crashes and springboard resprings, can you tell me how you have your Apple ID entered/typed on your iOS device? Do you have any uppercase letters in the ID?

Check Settings-> App Store, iCloud, iTunes, FaceTime, Game Center, iMessages, Music (home sharing) and Videos (home sharing) on your iOS device.

I always entered mine with the first letter capitalized during setup and subsequent login and noticed that iOS only lists it that way for certain components (like Game Center) and I've observed that those components were the ones crashing on my device (where my ID had a capital letter). I've since performed a DFU restore (which I always do for every iOS install - full or point release) and have entered my ID in all lowercase and have not had one crash or respring for any app or iOS component. This was not the case for previous installations of iOS 7.1 beta 2 on my devices.

This may be a coincidence but it's odd that I've gone this long (ten days) without any crashes whatsoever on either of my iPhones (4S and 5S) or iPad 2.

I had three OS reboots when using Safari so far with iOS 7.1 beta 2. All three crashes were on my iPad Air, while my iPhone 5S hasn't crashed at all.
Overall, iOS 7.1 beta 2 is much more stable than 7.0.4, but still not perfect. The systems crashes are just unacceptable, even when the system experiences low memory situations.

Hmm. I'm getting tired of hearing the same 6/7 songs played in a loop on a station.

God same here. I happen to get the same 2-3 R.Kelly songs over and over, I just ended up slamming my head on my desk and blacked out. I woke up, sh$t was still playing... wasn't a good day.

What I don't understand is if an artist has an entire album on iTunes, and you're listening to the artist, why only play one of their songs over & over again. Play songs from the d@mn album!

Its just not a good service at the moment.

Read through the thread. Most 5s owners say that 7.1 is a definite improvement. There are tons of posts about it in this thread.

Well, that's technically good news as I haven't notice seen any crashes as many devs I know also said the same thing. The crash reports you generate will only help Apple as they keep fixing this, especially if the crashes are coming in at a lower level compared to 7.0.4.

Hopefully, it's further improved in the next beta update or even a new iOS 7.2 update (I hope they keep going rather than ending at 7.1 to switch to iOS 8).

Have you notice any specific sites that are causing the crashes or is it still too random for you?

The crashes are usually the scrolling on certain resource-heavy sites, like nin.com that've been reported a few times here.

If 7.1 is released in Feb or March then everything except for maintenance and upkeep will have already shifted to iOS 8. I think that iOS 7 will always be known as a dark sheep in the iOS family. 7.1 puts a lot of polish on it but.......well, you know. Very anxious to start testing iOS 8.

It was totally random, once it happened with a very light website.

Oh, I know. iOS 8 is already in full development ever since iOS 7 GM was done back in late August. It's just a smaller dev team focusing on bug fixes for the .x/.x.x releases.

What I mean is that I'm hoping Apple don't pull that smaller dev team to focus on iOS 8 as soon as iOS 7.1 was released. It'd be nice to get more minor updates with bug fixes, not have it stopped as soon as 7.1 is released. Looking at their track record, they rarely go beyond the first .1 release with a few tiny updates. Meaning that as soon as Feb-March comes with 7.1 release, we won't see anything until Sept with the new iOS 8 release. That's still 3-4 months without any minor improvements/bug fixes.

iOS 8 would have to be a hugely impressive update to justify waiting without more continuous updates on iOS 7 to fix any of the remaining silly bugs.
