iOS 7.1 Beta 5 Bug Fixes and Changes

Set for cellular but I am 99% of the time on wifi

[Edit] Well seems to be working now. Had to deauthorize my PC in iTunes and authorize it again. Weird it was not showing in my account tab in the store but all my stuff worked and songs played etc. Once it authorized again and it showed up in my account, the next purchase started installing on iPhone automagicly :)

I am seeing the following issues with iOS 7.1 beta 5:

1) Issue with an IMAP based email account where every email I receive is duplicated - this did not occur with beta 4 (at least for me)

2) Notifications are not deleted after clicking on the notification and the associated app launches - this did not occur with beta 4 (at least for me)

Anyone seeing these?

Using a couple IMAP accts and no issues as above. Gmail and Yahoo.

This may have been an intermittent issue with my provider as it's no longer occurring.

I'm still having the notification issue however and the stuttering/skipping/laggy scrolling in various settings menus.

Yes. A few. But I'm not experiencing any of the issues you listed.

ive seen this on ever iOS 7 version since the 7.0 betas up till now. nothing new.

it doesnt happen very often, and its not only with 3-5 apps open. ive only seen it a few times, usually when i try to close 3 apps at once, very quickly. on a regular basis, it doesnt happen.

I've had an issue where I'd delete emails from my gmail account in the mail.app, but then it would resync with the server half way through the deletion process and download some of the emails again, meaning I have to re-delete them.

Any ties there do you reckon?
 
Is beta 5 GM too? I can't wait for the speed bump, especially for my wife talking about springboard crashes and general slowness of her 5s every now and then. I have to resist the temptation to install betas a couple of times. Hope it is coming in a couple of weeks rather than months.
 
Anyone else not getting synced iMessages? Since some time in beta 4 whenever I get an iMessage on one iOS device it doesn't get cleared when I view it on another. Also when I send messages in one device the history isn't synced on others.

Possibly - I'm seeing another issue where I can delete an email and the mail app still indicates the same number of unread emails for an extended period of time independent of the cellular or wifi network I'm on. It will eventually clear itself down to zero emails but it appears the mail app is much slower for me in marking emails read and synching those I deleted.

I'm seeing a new issue with the Weather app - the hourly view is only displaying Now and nothing else for my current location! Nothing I do results in it being displayed normally.

The other locations I have enabled in the app display the hourly temperatures correctly.

Beta 5 is just another beta, no GM build for 7.1 has been released to developers (at least so far).

I have this happen almost every time I check my email.
 
My iPhone 5S battery life is garbage since beta 5. Only 1.5 hours of use and down to 70%. No talk time. Texting and web browsing on wifi.

settings>reset>reset all settings. Then after it reboots go back and set your settings back like you want them. This will not delete your apps or data but defaults settings, wifi networks, wallpaper. If no help restore. b5 is stellar for battery life so far from what all I have seen and experienced.

This resolved itself automatically after about five minutes. Hadn't seen this before so thought it was perhaps a bug and it still could be as it doesn't seem right the app would be missing the hourly weather data.

Mine was the same after updating. First time I've lost battery life since early 7.0 beta's. I tried the restore settings but it didn't help, so I did a clean install. Looking better so far, although from what I understand iOS 7 takes a while to adapt to your usage habits so it should improve with time.

Or maybe I've just been placebo-ing myself into better battery life.

Yeah except that's not a viable option for the masses. Probably gonna go back to 7.0.4 for now. The other betas actually increased my battery a bit until now.

Actually it's a standard troubleshooting option for issues such as battery drain etc. I always do it after an update and then just put my settings back to the way they were.
