iOS 7.1 beta 5 is rock solid

Yeah, I just downloaded it. Any kind of update to iOS 7 excites me these days but there's really nothing to be excited about.

Actually, software developers don't figure out ways to make it slower, we figure out ways to incorporate all the new features that marketing brags about and customers are requesting. Once all of those features are added and working guess what? That new hardware with bloated software is indeed slow, until the NEXT "faster" hardware is released and then marketing and customers start requesting features and the "bloating" process starts all over again.

I just hope it doesn't take too long now, I want IOS 7 to become faster and more stable, don't care much for features since it has the ones I want and use.

Agreed, and 7.1 b5 is not there yet. Not by a long shot.

Apple needs to release b6 today with the SSL patch at the very least. And hopefully more bug fixes and improvements.
 
are we getting GM build today or next week?

OR you can revert back to iOS 7.0.6 for the SSL patch. I think the fix will be included with next beta build or GM version
 
I don't think iOS 7.1 beta 5 is even close to perfect. Mail app on my iPad Air crashes 4 times a day when I open the mail app with a draft open and send it.

Well I wonder if they won't release a beta 6 to patch that as it's not meant to be used as a daily driver, they'll probably just wait and it will be in the GM.

Probably... If not this week, probably GM wiill be next week. Mainwhile, I am going to resotre back to iOS 7.0.6 and enjoy some jailbreak joys

I expect GM next week as on the whole, beta 5 was practically there, with what's left to be sorted done in the GM. I don't connect to any wifi networks apart from at home anyway, so I'll be ok.
 
If it doesn't land by days end its safe to say GM is coming next week...

...probably ;)

More than likely since the didn't rush it out this week.

Not sure that makes any sense whatsoever given the sheer number of devices that do run iOS 7.1 right now..
 
Just downgraded to 7.0.6 on all my devices for the security fix. I can live without the fraction of a second faster animations for a few weeks.

So for now, would it be better to be running 7.0.6 because of the patch? Not sure how serious this bug exactly is, so that's why im asking.
