I think the clock icon changed, it starts moving. Did it exist before? Usually, it is just calendar.
Been there since beta-2 if not beta-1.

Most people did not even know that "skeuomorphism" existed before some blogger figured this to be a nice way of generating more clicks. I still do believe it's a good approach in general and you just can't get rid of it without abandoning half of the whole computer industry.Pre iOS 7 there was constant complaining about iOS being outdated, people hating "skeuomorphism",
I agree that some parts of the skeuomorphic design may be over the top, but that could have been refined much more subtly instead of throwing it all away and simply following the current design hype.missing features x, y & z blah, blah, blah. Well, with iOS 7 Apple has added some of those missing features and freshened up the UI (no more faux leather and green felt!).
I think it depends on which type of people might be attracted. Those that just come for the latest hype will be gone next year when Apple couldn't keep up with the then latest hip style.there's just as much chance Apple will attract new people to the platform as there is existing customers leaving.
Is anyone having issues downloading apps. I've got three which have gotten stuck and tried hard resets and deleting them... all of which has failed to help
I hate the idea of an app knowing that I take a screenshot of it... The app should at least ask to use that API, as apps that use geolocation do, if I refuse, the app won't get my position. Normally as a developer I'm glad for every new API that Apple makes available, but this one is just too much. If I have a right to see something, I have to have the right to save it too, because if I don't, I could easily end up in jail for merely remembering something. If you don't want me to save something, just don't show it to me at all... If you show something to anybody, on the internet or not, expect him or her to save it/remember it. Period....
Screenshot API - As noted by 9to5Mac, iOS 7 Beta 4 includes a new screenshot detection API that solves an issue preventing Snapchat from detecting screenshots.

The update to the messages app show the first name and the first initial of the last name.
In my contacts, I have:
Eric Wood
Eric Williams
If the messages app reduces the name of both to "Eric W" how am I supposed to tell who I am talking to easily. I think this update needs to be reverted, like "NOW" because that is going to cause a lot of issues.![]()

I'm surprised there isn't a contact pictures next to the name. It would help specify and break up all the text.
It looks like they finally added flagged emails to iOS 7 Beta 4!
how is the performance (speed and battery life primarily) of iOS7 on the 4s? I've been contemplating updating my phone to iOS7 because iOS6 has virtually crippled my 4s. It constantly freezes and crashes on native apps like messages and photos. If even freezes and soft resets occasionally when i scroll through my apps.
My battery life is by far the worst out of any iPhone I've ever owned and this is the only iPhone I haven't jailbroken. Very, very disappointed!![]()
You could just swipe back to your messages list, there it shows the full names for each message thread
But yes I can see how that would be inconvenient.
If a company is serious about its customers, it should also care for understanding the reasons that make people (especially long-term users) leave the platform.
Otherwise it might miss the chance to recognize potential problems while they develop. Established platforms deteriorate over time, not over night.
For the same reason every serious platform fan should care to at least understand the motivation of long-term users pondering to leave - chances are that oneself is overlooking certain aspects and/or has become less critical over time.
Really? A double tap is something that is suddenly complex or really annoying for something like this?"Actually it's a very well thought out change." Apart from the double tap, so not a well thought out change.
This is big! Incoming notifications can be swiped away!!! Yeah!!! Just swipe up when the notification appears!!!! Great news. I wish it was a different gesture, but that will also do!!!
One thing I don't like is in Safari you now have to tap twice to go to the top of the page. Once at the top to get the URL bar and then again to get the page to move to the top. Some things haven't been thought out right.
Also I'm not convinced about the transparency which is evident when you have text floating like in the camera app when you have the filters on. The text denoting the filter changes between black and white depending on the colour of the pixel behind. However in some instances they have had to put a black "cloud" behind to highlight the white text enough. Very half-ars*d if you ask me. Again just doesn't seem thought out. If they'd used another transparent layer for example like that which is used for HDR, Flash etc they would have avoided this swapping colours and that awful cloud!
This is also new for this beta. After installing while my phone was connected to my work computer it prompted me if I trusted this computer.
It definitely adds unnecessary hassle. I think adding a profile picture, like Whatsapp does, is long overdue. In addition, the app should be smart enough to show the complete surname automatically for those names that could otherwise not be distinguished without going back to the messages list. Apple didn't think this one through, and I hope a future build will address this.
They always looked terrible. (in iOS7)
Can't innovate anymore my ass!

I always thought Search App Store would be a good option in Spotlight.I like the new spotlight: accessing it is easy and the look is nice. Apple should take it one step further by enabling the user to also search the web. I realize that the idea of spotlight is to search your device (mac, phone, ipad, etc.); but having all your searching needs in one place would be great.
Well, the sunflower doesn't really relate to photos, but I agree that the icon in iOS7 isn't much better. As for the Safari icon, there is some relation with the compass look, but still needs some work. Why did apple change the Photos and Safari icons. They are not intuitive. If the word Photos wasn't written below the icon, I would never have guessed it was for photos. Same with Safari.
The mail, music and videos icons on the other hand clearly indicate what those apps are for.
I just noticed in Maps, when you tap on a place and get it's little popup, instead of showing you the miles to that place, it now shows you the driving time!
I also noticed, when getting driving directions, when the voice says "In 1 mile, the destination will be on your right" it adds to that by then saying the name of the destination.

Yikes! This has GOT to be a bug. I can still press and hold and ask Siri to pause[/COLOR]The middle button on the earphone remote doesn't pause and play music anymore.

Apple used to set trends, not follow them.

I just tried that one myself and I must say, That's really cool and helps when I forget to close out a few apps, it certainly will speed things up a little bit. Thanks for the great tip.
I like the new icons but I wish Apple would implement themes that would incorporate different icons, color schemes and possibly fonts. I understand Apple likes to keep things simple but I think it would be a nice touch that wouldn't confuse the average user.
