The amount of expectation coverage iOS7 is getting if Apple don't do something radical I fear many geeks are going to lose their mind.

Listening to newest iMore podcast.

iOS 7 will still have the same 5 rows of icons.

Don't expect widgets on home screen.

I'm a jailbreaker (then again, I might not be 100% of the intended audience). I've tried widgets, but honestly they still have zero use for me.

This is clearly a case of "to each their own."

We are getting to close to the make or break moment. HTC One or iPhone 5S. Who will win?;)

I find it a little bit ridiculous that people are more excited for a different UI for the hell of it instead of substantive features.

I agree to an extent. I think there needs to be some UI modifications that make iOS more "up-to-date" in regards to design, however, I think that more features that continue to make iOS simple to use yet interactive is also needed. Such as "Profiles" in the mock-up video I posted. :)

I'm still surprised by the app store in ios6. It is genuinely awful to the point of making it more painful to browse and buy apps.

For ios7 I'd be happy if they just went back to the ios6 store. Ditch sideways scrolling bars and stupid pop up cards that fail to take advantage of the whole screen.

I agree! I used to browse the App Store every day in iOS 5, now I think I go on there maybe once a week. It is absolutely awful. Navigation is horrid and you see less content than before. Side scrolling is so bad I wish they would just revert back.

For me, I would like Apple to look at revamping their stock apps and services. Many show great promise, but seem to have been left to the wayside as Apple instead focuses on newer features to serve as key selling points. 3rd party apps only go so far because I can't select them as default apps, and they simply can't be selected by many apps.

For example,

Notes - don't need full power of evernote, but give me a cleaner interface, with the ability to organise by folder and category, innate search, ability to insert images.

Photos - ability to annotate like skitch (because skitch isn't integrated with whatsapp). Can view photos like iphoto (where the list of photos is on the left and the selected photo is on the right). Why can't I send photos via imessage and shared photostream in iPhoto?

Calls - Add groups.

Simple things like that.

iOS 7 Hopes and Wishes (merged)

Seeing what HTC has done with camera features like Zoe and Highlight Reel and some of the cool camera features on the S4 (sound shot, etc.), it's time for an update to the iPhone camera app beyond HDR and panorama. Pretty please?

Just wanted to let you guys know that some guy named Thai Wong (or something like that) has a Video posted on CNet that IOS 7 is Behind Scheudule and that Apple Programmer's who where working on Apple OSX Cougar (10.9) have been Re-Assigned to IOS 7. He also claims that Members of the ADC Program will NOT get Access to IOS 7 until WWDC and than the General Public will NOT get Access to it until August at the Earliest! Due a Bing Search on IOS 7, it's the second link on the page.

Are you talking about Brian Tong who does the Apple Bytes?

Yea this news is pretty old, like 1-2 weeks ago there was an article on macrumors.

Honestly, not really surprising. You fire the SVP iOS guy and expect an entire iOS UI overhaul...there's going to be delays.

You guys got everything covered, but my favorite is to close those active apps with one touch/press. Tired of the jiggly jello red minus (-).
