Weather?

I don't have a temperature display in the notification center. At all. Anyone know how to get this back? One of my favorite features in iOS6.

No, I like simplicity, and I think the rest of iOS 7 looks great. I just can't get over those icons. They're not simple enough is the thing. To me, the gradients seem too loud and obnoxious. Now that the colors for the 5c have released, I can see that it would match up, but that's going to look really funky on my black iPhone 5. There is a user here who has a link in their signature to what great iOS 7 icons would look like, but I cannot seem to find it.

Hahah... NOOOOOOO not that guy! ;)

Do you have location services turned on for the Weather app? It's in Settings > Privacy > Location Services.

I have been loving iOS7 since the beta... but I truly can not stand the white letters in Messages.

There is already too much white on the screen.

LOL, I've gotten used to just about everything, but I still HATE the white text on that hideous green background. Thank goodness I get a bit of a reprieve when the other party is on iMessage. :D

I already don't like it very much. All this zooming in and out when I switch apps gives me a headache, and none of my wallpapers work anymore! The parallax makes them get automatically stretched. I can't even turn it off....

Edit: Thank goodness, figured out how to turn it off...its listed under accessibility, reduce motion.

The more I use it, the less I like it. I now have nausea from app switching (and I rarely get motion sickness). I really don't like the new design language. At all. If this is way mavericks is going to be, I am going to have to learn some heavy customization skills.

Theres also so many meaningless animations.

And the icons really are ugly. I was going to give them a chance but all day long, this has just been less and less good. I hope they update soon!

The look is nice. The effects are a bit jarring but that may also be due to the slight delay with transitions. My biggest complaint, the more I think about it the more bitter it tastes...why isn't Personal Hotspot in Control Center???? Is it really not popular enough to warrant it? Because I'm toggling it everyday and was really looking forward to quicker/easier access to it.

Le sigh.

3rd party chargers do not work

tried all 6 of my 3rd party unauthorized chargers from China and none of them will work. Not shocked, but it looks like Apple one-upped everyone who thought they could buy these things for pennies.

Two things: iTunes radio works with a U.S. iTunes account, even if you are outside the U.S. And you missed one of the most confusing changes, which is that to delete e-mails from your inbox, you now have to swipe right to left, not left to right.

Very good point. Could it possibly be there isn't room or it's a low priority or if you want to have a conspiracy theory it's because Apple wants to sell more 3G/LTE models :D

I dunno, 1,000 screenshots posted online for the past 3 months? :)

You don't really get to appreciate how bad it is until you use it however... and I haven't really been following the forums that closely. All I knew was that the icons were horrible, I didn't realise quite how harsh all that white would be, until now.

The only wallpaper I've found that makes app icons readable is pure black. This also makes the pull-up/pull-down screens look quite nice. It really makes me wonder why they didn't give us the option of a dark theme for the whole OS.

Thanks, I'll add in the mail tip!

I very much enjoy the new iOS. Blown away by what Tim pulled off here.

With a darker background (so that the folders are visible), iOS7 is actually nice on my iPAD 4. But the reality is that it is basically a nice theme, which on Android could have been implemented and tweaked with a simple launcher.

I am happy it has multitasking, finally!

I am most disappointed that it still has the same primitive keyboard, without the possibility of adding something like the Swiftkey app for Android, which is really light years ahead.

I am absolutely amazed that iRadio does not have Airplay capability. Between the relatively poor selection and no Airplay, iRadio is basically useless to me -- back to MOG. If you want something for free, Pandora definitely has a much better station algorithm, plus it supports Airplay, duh.... Apple is embarrassing itself.

Overall, I am happy with the update, but it is more like catching up, rather than anything innovative or exciting. It will slow the loss of market share, but without some real effort, Apple will be a niche player in mobile within a couple of years.

C+

For some reason my weather app was turned off in locations. Turned it back on and now it's in notifications.

You can reduce the motion effect by checking your Accessibility settings. There's also an option to thicken the fonts as well. It's likely I'll have to enable both for my parents lest I never hear the end of how awful and illegible iOS 7 is now.

I would love a dark theme'd iOS7! :(

I'll spare the ugly and busy comments. It is. This is not fresh and new, it's average at best and a mess in many ways. Icons make no sense- look at photos and Game Center. They mean nothing other than some stupid blob of color...

And the folders are a mess. You used to get, what 12 icons. Not they are huge, have lots of white space and you only get 9.

Ive should stick to hardware. From a usability standpoint it's about as much of a mess as Windows 8 and Windows Phone.
