Phone started ringing but I couldn’t answer. Nor could I use any of the switches to stop the call. Open the phone app, nothing.

Later turns out my mother was trying to FaceTime me. Sure enough, there are two missed calls in the FT app.

Anyone else having this issue?

Email seems to still have keyboard sounds even if you have them disabled. All other keyboard activity in other apps seems to honour your keyboard sounds setting. Toggling the keyboard sounds on and off will then stop keyboard sounds in Email, but after a reboot they are back.

iOS 8.0 Beta 2 Bug Fixes and Changes

On the first day of beta 2 I've noticed that something has been changed and finally I figured out what.. Most of the arrows in settings.app (first page) are no longer there.

Yes. Report as bug.

----------

I don't know if this is new to beta 2 but there is a option to change the left swipe in the mail app from "read/unread" to "flag/unflag "

Beta 1. Old.

----------

I was getting a weird bug earlier today where phone calls wouldn't display ANYTHING on the screen. The phone would vibrate/ring, and once the call was done ringing it would show missed call, but it displayed nothing for me to answer or ignore or response to the call. If I dialled a call, it would start ringing, but the "in-call" screen wouldn't appear (the status bar also wouldn't turn green).

I did a hardboot and it seems to have fixed the issue for now, but people should be aware that it's a thing.

Yep, see above post.

Beta 2 has some New Bugs:

-Siri sometimes doesn't work (it starts Voice Control or closes immediately.

-Battery Percentage goes away sometimes (enough free space)

-keyboard sounds appear sometimes when disabeld

- new keyboard wordfinder stopped working as i type this

Quick reply seems to be quicker. In beta 1 when I dragged to the bottom to reply, it would freeze some, now it doesn't for me.

The problem for me is that whenever I double tap the home button to view the open apps, it crashes when I select one of them. Also, when trying to use emojis in a text, it freezes the app & then crashes. It didn't do this in iOS 8 Beta 1 lmao

Have you tried Resetting All Settings?

I've experi the random keyboard sounds, wonky status bar and really wonky typing in Safari especially on these forums.

Try Reset All Settings and if you still have trouble with individual apps try re-installing them.

I did try Resetting All Settings! I am running it on an iPhone 5 & also tried restoring iOS 8 Beta 2 but that didn't fix my issue either. It's getting annoying because nothing is working haha

I know!! Finally no more teeny tiny caller pics!

Anybody else having push mail problems? Ever since iOS 8 beta 1 I cannot receive ANY push mail from the native mail app. I'm not saying that push isn't a constant issue with iOS mail app but at least it would push something! Now no push mail comes through, I have to manually check for mail every time.

Anyone had the problem of multitasking opening when doing a single home button push to close apps? I've had it quite a few times on my 5, I've also reported a bug report.

I just tried my first call to my wife using Facetime Audio. Complete lock up before she answered. Had to hold home + power for 10 seconds to recover the phone.

I've also experienced that bug since iOS 8 beta 1 and still experience it on iOS 8 beta 2 although not as much.

Haven't had that happen to me but FaceTime Audio is a WORSE connection than a regular mobile call! Especially in iOS 8!

Noticed that in some situations the lock screen status bar shows up bigger in I OS 7 style. Usually when I have a missed call on the screen. The attached screenshot shows the random larger status bar.

I just noticed that a sent/received video in iMessage now plays inline within the app and doesn't open the full screen video player. Not sure if it's a bug or by design but it's not bad.

It only does that if you tap the actual play button in the center but if you tap anywhere else on the video it will open full screen. This is just like the OSX Messages.app. I think this was there in beta 1.

Location Services disable itself

I didn't see this in a forum search, so...

At least once a day Location Services turns itself off. An app that has previously had privileges to LS asks for the necessary change to be made in Settings, even though the GPS arrow is currently showing in the status bar.

A look in Settings shows that, indeed, LS has turned off having previously been active.

The SD Card/USB lightning adapter is now seen by the iPhone again. Yay! (In b1, absolutely nothing happened - no option to import photos, no error)

It's now detected as not being an officially licensed product, and so iOS just pops up a "may not be reliable" dialog, and deliberately ignores the adapter. Boo!

Has anyone else noticed the option to add the Notification Center on The Lockscreen is gone?
