Your phone shouldn't restart, but it should respring. Cydia should now open normally.
Resping? What do you mean? And if it should open normally it's not happening for me. It's literally restarting my phone like the effective. Power message.

A respring is a soft restart, where SpringBoard will restart itself. Think of it as Finder on Mac OS X or Explorer on Windows.

If Cydia isn't opening properly, I'd restore and wait for the updated TaiG jailbreak.

Ohp. It's working! :D

I'm trying to get back in the jailbreak scene after not having an iphone since iphone 5. So for those folks that did jailbreak, are you not able to download anything using Cydia?

It sounds like I may just wait until the update.

You can download and install anything you want from Cydia. Anything that relies on Cydia Substrate (MobileSubstrate) just won't be active.

I download all of my usual packages (25-ish) and installed them just fine.

On my last JB I mainly used f.lux, Zeppelin, Springtomize, AskToCall, iFile and iCleaner. Would those be manageable with the current setup or have to wait for the update?

Only iCleaner and iFile work. The others will install, but won't do anything at all yet.

Got it. Thanks! I think I'm going to hold off until an update is ready. I really miss closing all of my applications at once and using PandoraSkips while I'm at work (forgot about that one!). I'd rather be safe and stay on 8.1.3 as it'll be my luck they'll stop signing 8.3 when something goes wrong when I attempt the JB. ;)

I'd keep the 8.3 IPSW saved somewhere just in case so that you can restore quickly.

I tried it just now... Like most of the people here, I keep getting stuck at 20%,reboots then does its process all over again. I have Windows 7, 64 bit with iTunes 12.1.1.

Everything's safe, so suit yourself.

I tried this also on my wife's Windows 8.1 laptop running 64 bit, with the iTunes 12.1.1 but I keep getting a message saying I need to update my driver.

Also, when I download iTunes (12.1) from their website. somehow it ended up installing a chinese software on my laptop which I do not even know what it does.

If you're on iTunes 12.1 or 12.1.1 you'll have to downgrade to 12.0.1. This guy has a great step by step of how to totally wipe itunes and then jailbreak.

I had the same problem until I followed his instructions. Now my iPad mini is jailbroken.
Next is my 6 plus.

Good luck

Thank you sir! Hats to you now I have Cydia on my iphone 6 plus. The only problem is that majority of the tweaks does not work like it was mentioned because of the substrate.

Patiently waiting for a TaiG upgrade

Jailbreak-er beware!

I've tried everything to Jailbreak my iPad Air 2 and I can't get this to work. Clean 8.3 restore, iTunes 12.0.1, redownloaded the Jailbreak utility, enabled airplane mode, ran Jailbreak utility as Administrator, restarted iPad and computer, tried different cables and USB ports and computers, and still nothing. Fails either at 30% or 60% with error code -1102. So frustrated :(

Did follow the youtube video posted above? Once I downgraded Itunes. I restarted my comp and once it boots up, I got the trust source pop up message and I click trust. Then right click on TaiG as Admin like Beewee said and it worked for me.

Still won't work for me. Highest I got to was 50% then the jailbreak failed. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Hopefully you work it out.

But could be worth sitting back and waiting for a newer TaiG version with correctly patched kernel, or for someone else to reverse engineer it and make their own (seems i0n1c has started an effort on this)... and then try again. The jailbreak as is, isnt entirely ideal.

Will the TaiG 2.0 untethered jailbreak work on my old Dell Dimension 4600 desktop running Windows XP 32-bit with 1 core and 2 GB of RAM? I have an iPhone 5s. When Evasi0n iOS 7 jailbreak came out it would get stuck on injecting the jailbreak onto my iPhone. At that time I had 256 MB of RAM in my computer now I have 2 GB of RAM. I don't want to update to iOS 8.3 just to not be able to jailbreak. Another question: Does PdaNet work on iOS 8.3?
