Downgrading isn't 100% required. Worked fine for me on Windows 8.1 Professional x64 and iTunes 12.1.0.71 x64. Had to install the 3rd download from http://www.3kzhushou.com/edu/792.html that TaiG itself linked to.

Downgrading isn't 100% required. Worked fine for me on Windows 8.1 Professional x64 and iTunes 12.1.0.71 x64. Had to install the 3rd download from http://www.3kzhushou.com/edu/792.html that TaiG itself linked to.
I get the same thing. I tried backing up, restoring and setting up as new in iTunes, and that didn't work either. I'm still stuck at 20% and repeating reboots.
Really wish people would read comments about this latest JB before jumping in to it. Wouldn't have so many questions about various issues if many wouldn't jump in blindly and just research a little. My recommendation to all with issues, restore back to 8.3 and wait for Sairik to give the green light. Yes if you've been without JB with 8.2/8.3, it's not going to hurt waiting a few more days.
Speaking of giving the green light. iClarified has posted a message from TaiG warning users to not use the leaked V2.1 beta utility which still contains substantial bugs (even though it does patch the kernel and allow substrate to work). It seems the official TaiG update will be coming out soon enough (with saurik playing a big hand in it, with sleepless nights of toiling according to the TaiG message), best to be patient with this one.

the exploits were likely already patched in the latest 8.4 beta, so it made more sense to release for 8.3 before everyone either goes to 8.4, or gets stuck on 8.1.2 until the next jailbreak.
none of the previous "chinese release" have had any spyware "and other exploits", you have no idea what you're talking about.

While I did not search the code lik Pplude did, I did put my iPad on its own VLAN and left wireshark running for 3 days. I saw no suspicious activity."While the malware claims appear to be false"
I managed to jailbreaking it successfully and open up cydia successfully. Now some tweaks I know are not working according to the compatibility list and the fact that Cydia Substrate needs an update, but Zeppelin doesn't need Cydia Substrate. I have installed it but I can't find it anywhere in settings or anything. Any help please?
Same here. Ived look under Settings, home screen but cant seem to find it anywhere.
I know you're joking, but it actually was great timing. Nobody is sure if the exploit will work with 8.4 so everybody has a week to get to 8.3 before it stops getting signed, then wait to see the jailbreak works for 8.4. If it doesn't, we're on 8.3 and can jailbreak there.
V2.1.2 is out, fixes heaps of problems, including the tool getting stuck during the jailbreaking process. Give it a shot.
Yeah. Found out that all I had to do was keep iTunes open. Worked like a charm when I did that.
