If you have a FaceTime audio chat on iPad (and I guess on iPhone), multitasking view will show the FaceTime app and the call separated, while the call has no icon or subtitle. This makes it possible to use the FaceTime app on iPad while calling.
If you close the FaceTime audio call screen via home button, the animation will fade just like with reduced motion, but even if it's turned off. If you press the green top bar in another app, then it will also fade and if you hang up then it takes you back to the app, NOT to FaceTime.

AirDrop uses Wi-Fi Direct, which requires the Wi-Fi radio. It however it does not require an established Wi-Fi Network with an Internet connection.

Exactly! So the question I've been posing for three posts is "What are they using for continuity?" Since it requires neither the wifi radio nor the Bluetooth radio to be turned on!

I don't understand what's confusing about my question

It appears that iOS 8 replaces the Keyboard API, forcing all apps to adopt the new keyboard. In iOS 7, the developer would have to update the app for the new keyboard, but it appears that iOS 8 forces all apps to use the new keyboard, even if they were never update for iOS 7.

You've misunderstood me. What I meant was, has the text been modified so it fits within the button outline?

What he's saying is that there's no button anymore, it won't ask you for confirmation. You just need to slide the button to 'off' and you're all set. There's no text because there's no button.

It's probably is on but you can't see it. Happening in the backround.

Brightness in Control Center

When you press and hold the brightness slider in Control Center, it shows you the real brightness you'll get. In iOS 7, the brightness that was display was not accurate because Control Center darkens the screen.

Conversation View in Mail App

Is it now possible to view the whole conversation in the Mail App (including messages you send as a reply)? It has been possible to view all sent and received messages from one conversation in the "All Mail" view but not in the inbox view?

I'm using Gmail in combination with Mailbox for this reason and I would love to go back to the stock mail app. Thank you for having a look at this.

No, there's no integrated view yet. It's still either inbox (or other "in" folder) or sent items and threads don't show both. I agree that it's annoying.

Safari now displays "Reader View Available" temporarily on websites that have a reader view option.

Itunes

it would be nice to be able to permanently delete an app from my device rather than having to do it from my pc or in itunes. Maybe a long pause or double confirmation when deleting

When you sync with itunes they come back. Let itunes be a music store not an app manager or file transfers

Music is music

It definitely requires at least Wi-Fi.

Interesting. Thanks for the the pic. Now as far as your user name, weren't the triforces of strength, wisdom, or courage? I love the Zelda games and I reckon you do too?

Indeed I do. and that's right. I just made this one up. Also to keep on topic, I wonder when the next beta releases

What is the all mail view?

In general you are basically talking about Apple supporting conversation view vs. threaded view...not sure Apple necessarily wants to do that. It's not really a bug or anything as much as just a somewhat different feature.
