Clicking the camera icon still gives me that film strip with all of my photos, so not sure why it's gone on yours.

Also, clicking Details gives me the options you mention, along with turning on Do Not Disturb for that thread, and scrolling further shows the Attachments made in the thread (pictures sent, etc.)

I noticed that feature this morning on my iPad (I'm not brave to install iOS 8 on my only phone). Pretty cool. I like that you can swipe thru your camera roll.

Does it actually work? I've received two (unimportant) calls on the iPad Air, but whilst it shows cancel & accept buttons (no swipe), pressing "accept" has no effect, at present. A pity, as that would've been convenient, given people only call me if I'm away from my phone. ^_^;

Well that time when I saw it on my iPad screen was because it was stuck there. I had already answered the phone call a few minutes ago and it was stuck on the ringing do you want to answer screen. Since everything is still in beta it's probably random atm.

That's a known hardware problem with the power button on the iPhone5 https://ssl.apple.com/support/iphone5-sleepwakebutton/

It used to be fine before iOS 8 beta 3

sleep/wake issue is happening for me as well, it's definitely software related and not hardware related

I have a funny feeling it and the respring issue are tied together -- the phone tries to wake itself up but resprings, and since the screen hasn't woken up you can't see the apple logo to show that it's doing that. Seems to take the same amount of time.

I might be the only one who will thank Apple a thousand times for this, but DuckDuckGo. I've been using it for only a short period of time, but I'm glad Apple added this.

DuckDuckGo, for me, is probably my favorite feature in iOS 8, above the customize-able keyboards and the Health app and everything else.

I have been using the Duck Duck Go app for ages, which is cool. I am glad Apple has decided to allow them as default search. I have created a home screen shortcut for Duck Duck Go's search page that I use also. I look forward to iOS 8!

I never noticed it until I updated to 7.1 but I have this issue on my iPhone5 and was advised it was a hardware issue. My phone is eligible for repair free from Apple but I live quite far from Apple store so haven't done it yet.

Wait for beta 4 before anything

I read an article about new iOS8 feature about dynamic mac address feature. It will be terrible for me because we accept our company iPads and iPhones to our Internet network using WPA2 and MAC address filter. I am also using MAC address filter for 3 iPhones and one iPad in my home network as many other people. Is there an option for force iOS8 devices to use their original MAC addresses? I will be very glad if beta users answer this question.

Thanks,

When connected to a network your MAC address will stay the same I think? And otherwise it'll be random to protect privacy? Not quite sure how that works but thats what I possibly read.

If you search for a business in Maps and initiate a call from the results iOS 8 now lists the company name in the Recent Calls list instead of the phone number even if you don't have that number saved as a contact. This was different in iOS 7.
