It's probably the original artwork. I have non square artwork that shows with no white borders on the lock screen.
My original artwork does not have white space as evidenced in the cover flow screenshot

Also, the original artwork in that file might actually have those white borders. However, Apple can choose to just show the image without the border if it is smaller than square, like so: http://f.cl.ly/items/1H0O1j0O1F040J2n2o1D/IMG_0017.PNG

You are very correct that the album art image may have those white borders as part of the image. I had thought about that too and there really isn't much Apple should do about it in that case. It should display what is given.
Is it just me, or is Instant Hotspot not working as expected?
Yes:
- AT&T allows personal hotspots for me
- Bluetooth is on
- Personal Hotspot was toggled on/off
I can type out my entire experiment of restarting my Apple AEBS repeatedly in an effort to get my Mac/iPad to connect to my iPhone hotspot, but long story short, nothing works seamlessly.
Option to “Scan Credit Card” in Safari.
/\ iPhone 6 giveaway alert. Without an addon, no one can do this at the moment.
We'll just have to wait and see.
I found a new feature, now you can recognize a phone number with the help of the camera, by pressing the camera icon left

I just checked on my iPhone 5s running iOS 8 beta 4 and I don't have that in the phone app's keypad tab. Can I ask, firstly do you always have that and if so, where or how are you accessing it?
it was just a coincidence, i can't see it again, maybe iOS 9 feature ?![]()
I don't know if it was already posted here, but now you can pinch in and out to zoom your calendar view to show more/fewer hours without scroll
Go add it to the list!
Also, something I will add later but already post: spotlight / Safari suggestions seem to work outside of the U.S. now...
They have for 2 weeks
Are you sure? Didn't work for me until yesterday.
Well, for the sorted manually option the order is set by the user, so they don't really sort it another way to keep that consistent.Someday, maybe, if we're lucky, all the apps listed under Notifications will be alphabetized so that you can actually find things in there.![]()
Well, for the sorted manually option the order is set by the user, so they don't really sort it another way to keep that consistent.
What I'm saying is that it's like that likely because the sorting primary is related to how notifications appear in the notification center when you get/have notifications and bring it down. So if someone customizes manually what they want to see first (higher up) and so forth and then switches to see things by time they don't want to necessarily change up the order of things.I don't see how this should affect having the option to list them alphabetically. It's much more effective than the "sort by time" option particularly if the apps that are listed under Settings at the bottom are already alphabetical. If you have a lot of apps, searching for one in that long list can be frustrating. Small gripe and I wouldn't give up my iPhone for it but it is nonetheless annoying.
