For those that have envountered the non working alarm as I have, if the app is running in their background it will work, give it a try!

No I didn't, maybe I should?

I did a clean restore and my music app crashes after I hit the Home or Sleep button after 2 seconds :( even iTunes Radio. I submitted a bug report yesterday I hope the fix it for next beta. Looks like I'm on Pandora until then.

Well, it certainly doesn't look like the reason for this was that the phone was hot. I would rather guess somebody tried to unlock it too many times with the wrong passcode.

Only time I ever got a similar message was when the phone got too hot during the iOS 7 beta series. The phone was in my pocket when it happened so shrug. Maybe it's the mesh shorts?

Yeah thats not a temperature issue. That was likely caused by the lock screen being on in your shorts and too many inadvertent passcode inputs being entered by your leg (or something). Happens to me sometimes when I workout too.

Has anyone tried any MFi certified 3rd party cables? Neither my Monoprice or Amazon certified cables are recognized by my 5s. No charging or aux output in my car (and I tested the cables with my wife's 5s still on 7.1.1 and they work). I submitted a bug report yesterday, just wanting to see if anyone else had experienced this.

Do you mean on Safari? Try tapping the clock.

The feature isn't Safari-only....and I've tried tapping everywhere on the status bar. Happening on my iPad Air. I'll have to check my 5C here in a bit.

EDIT: Confirmed working on my 5C - this bug seems limited to the iPad Air.

So I killed SiriusXM in the multitask view it spontaneously started playing 5 minutes later. Checked multitask and it wasn't there. I reopened the app and it gave a playback error. So another instance was still running in the background.

So do we have an issue with apps that can't be closed or force quit?

Can't return emails - when I click "reply", the mail app crashes. Has happened every time thus far on the same email. Might try another email address.

EDIT: Reply is working now - seems to be an intermittent bug. Email address had nothing to do with it as I tried a different email under the same address and it worked and I also tried other emails under various addresses with some working and some not working (but then working after the second or third try).

Hard reseting (home button + power button) my 5S removed all my TouchID fingerprints...

Anyone else notice this?

Also cannot watch videos within Facebook app. I get an error saying to check my internet connection.

Another email thing - notifications aren't showing on the lock screen even though I have it enabled.

EDIT: Are devs or someone monitoring this thread and passing these along via some type of bug reporter feature in the dev center? I know the bug reporter app itself isn't working (at least for me) and there are quite a few of us who are testing out iOS 8 but are not developers.

Would love to know my findings are being put to good use :)

If you set a timer and then close the clock app and return to it you can't cancel the timer since the UI doesn't show it's active.

It still shows the timer on the lock screen.

You can still use Siri to cancel the timer.

You can also still set a new timer that replaces your last timer, then push cancel.

Pretty sure that number 1 is simply a new feature in iOS 8, at least in the first beta. We'll see if it stays around or if it might get modified in some way.

----------

Is it possible to go back to 7.1.1?
Yes, you can. You can put your phone in recovery mode and iTunes will install the latest publicly available iOS version on it (7.1.1 currently). Then you can put on your last 7.1.1 backup onto the phone (since an 8.0 backup won't work on iOS 7).

People can file their own bug reports at http://bugreport.apple.com -- you need to be a developer to do it, but you don't have to be a paid developer, there's a free version that you can easily sign up for that will give you access to that and some other things (just not the betas and all that).
