The original MR post said that there were also new solid and gradient colored wallpapers. I guess that was a mistake.

Yeah, it looks like there's just one new wallpaper, not multiples.

One time, they predicted 3-5 inches of snow and we ended up getting 2 feet. I've has a grudge with them ever since.
Been trying to figure out what works best between Apple's Weather app, The Weather Channel, Weather Underground, AccuWeather, and some others. Can't say I see a clear winner as they can at least sometimes be fairly on and off from day to day. Seems like going with NWS/NOAA is generally the best bet, they just don't have an app (although some apps use their data, like Weather Underground can be set to use it or Dark Skies I believe).

Why did they name the option to not delete photos and videos from Messages “Automatically Keep”? Shouldn’t it be “Automatically delete” and switched on by default? Or, if they insist on keeping the switch off by default: “Always keep"

What does it mean to automatically keep something??

Also, I notice that they are adding more and more text to the interface to explain everything. I’m not sure I like that evolution.

As always, for best results, follow these steps:

1. Back up your iOS 7/8 device to iTunes.
2. Download and unpack the corresponding beta 3 firmware for your device.
3. Option-click/shift-click "Restore" in iTunes, then choose the beta 3 firmware.
4. Restore from backup once beta 3 is all loaded up and iTunes asks for it.
5. Enjoy beta 3, you dirty pirate. :p

Gives me fewer problems with betas than most folks, 9 times out of 10.

tl;dr fresh restore to b3 then restore from backup when iTunes prompts you.

I'm still hoping for an iCloud Drive App. Having access to files only within apps still seems annoying.

I recommend checking out this Facebook page. The guy is usually spot on with his predictions. It's only for the northeast and mid Atlantic though.

Are you kidding me?
A) there being a slider to turn it on under Cellular, and B) then when on a call you can see VoIP traffic at your router?

I was not kidding thats why I asked, I was in the middle of downloading the update and was curious if there was an indicator to let you know. Thanks though.

iPhoto now installs and runs. Take it back, it installs, ran once, now won't and points to "Photos". :(

Are we ever going to be able to send emails to contact group lists? Very aggravating omission from OSX, when Outlook does it with ease. Maybe Apple should spend its time updating the Weather app instead...

Private Photo Albums

When in the world is Apple going to allow users to password-protect certain photo albums? We shouldn't have to use 3rd party Apps to hide photos. Maybe I'm just an extreme pervert who wants to keep all of those naughty selfies I receive private ;-)

........also, why is it so hard for Apple to give us the ability to add a song on the fly to an existing playlist. It's so annoying having to go into the play list, hit edit, and then search for the song that you want to add.

Is it already stable enough for a day-to-day iPhone?
Everyone here is saying 'no', but I have to admit that it works fine for a beta. Have been using iOS 8 beta from day one on my main device (which even is an iPhone 4S) and didn't have many problems. Sometimes an app crashes, animations can be a bit slow etc. But that's it. Overall it works great.
