Anyone else having this problem that's reported in the 1st post of this thread? Cause no one is talking about it and I NEED iMessage to work perfectly. Thanx. :)

I'm not having this problem, it's working as it should for me....so far. Haven't had the pic/iMessage hangup yet either!

that new control center is terribly styled! wtf! it looked way better before!

I disagree, it's much cleaner now and easier to read. Think it's quite a nice improvement.

If you need aspects of iOS to work perfectly, perhaps you should not install a beta, especially when an iMessage bug is listed in the release notes.

If you NEED anything to work perfectly (or almost) then stay away from beta's. It can change with the wind whether something works or not. That would be my recommendation based of your stress point that it is important.

iOS 7.1.2 works perfectly for iMessage so use that instead of a beta for developers.

Anyone else have issues with contact images? It's showing the wrong image in some of my contacts but if I edit the image it shows the correct image.

Adam.

Is this new? I think it is, when restarting phone (pressing power + home button) upon restarting we now have to enter passcode.

Adam.

Pretty sure it's always done that when restarting a device. My iPhone 4 on 7.1.2 does that...

they can still report from the site too..

You underestimate the average lazy non-developers that frequent these forums.

You take away a bug reporting icon in iOS 8 and suddenly the volume of bug reports drop because non-developers are too lazy to go to a site to report a bug.

These are the same people who come here and start a thread without even searching Google for the issue they are having with their devices because they are too lazy.

Contacts now show "FaceTime" section only if the person indeed has a facetime capable device. Previously facetime section always showed regardless if the user has facetime compatible device

Simple but very thought out implementation. It's makes a lot of sense. :D

Since there isn't an ios beta 4 bug thread yet, iTunes Radio doesn't show album cover on lock screen.

So... You didn't answer my question. Are you or are you not having this issue? I didn't ask for advice I asked if anyone is having this problem.

I need iMessage to work perfectly not "aspects". Again, I didn't ask for advice, I asked if anyone is having these reported issues. If you commented that means you either are or are not. Which one is it?

Again, if you need iMessage to work perfectly, do not use a beta, especially if it reports an iMessage issue in it's release note.

I am not having this specific issue, but then again I've only had a few messages since updating. I have had other iMessage issues on this beta, though. Would not recommend using iOS 8 betas if you need iMessage to be "perfect." Common sense would tell you that..

Off topic slightly, but to me this is how the control centre should look, credits to the Pangu team. :D

Does it still have the "turn on wifi" nagware whenever using the GPS, which if you're in an area with an http redirect wifi portal actually results in breaking the app?

How does the talk to text work ?

Sweet -- of the 28 bugs that I still had open this morning, beta 4 resolved 26 of them. The remaining 2 are both for 3rd party apps Listastic & Facetune.

So far since beta 1 of the 69 bugs I've opened, that's 63 bugs resolved, 4 bugs closed as dups, and 2 still open.

Sure I'll discover issues in Beta 4 but glad to see so many bugs were closed with b4.

True but with the iPhone app, it automatically attached the appropriate system & crash files for the app you were reporting so it was a really convenient, compared to getting from your phone connected to Xcode on your Mac.

I can tell you that none of my bug reports going forward are going to have those files attached since I'm on a PC at work during the day and that will make my bug reports way less useful to Apple.

Not sure if it's a bug or a feature but home sharing from iTunes 11.3 to iOS 8B4 doesn't work. Shows not content.

However iTunes 12.0 to iOS 8B4 does work. (Though library is significantly smaller on that machine)

- either way, loading of the data & processing it is still interminably slow on a large library. (I wish they'd buy Audiotap and integrate it into iTunes / Music.app)

Bugs:
-After sending a text and backing out to convo view, that thread cannot be accessed until you close Messages or they reply (update: sometimes manage to access by initiating app switcher and then returning to messages)

i dont have this problem with imessage or sms, iphone 5 a1428
