Am I the only iPhone user that hasn't had a single iOS 8 issue that was published on this site? Apple must have seeded me special software or something because if you just look at the articles, it would seem almost as if iOS 8 was unusable.

I've been using my iPhone 6 Plus' Bluetooth with my aftermarket JVC car stereo since the day the phone came out and I have not had any problems with it at all.

All of the blogs I've read have shown that removing your old phone from the BT settings on the car, rebooting the phone, and resetting network settings on the phone fixes the issue. Not really front page news, if you ask me.

BTW: My iPhone 6, and my 5S that had iOS 8 for over a month and a half never had any issues whatsoever with my Pioneer car BT.

Only with IOS 8? Really.....

I've had problems with pairing my IPhone 4s with my BMW forever....
Sometimes it works, sometime it doesn't.
With IOS7 it worked ok, I'd say 95% of the time.
With IOS8 so far I had 1 incident when the sound didn't come on the speakers...

I have always had this problem with Ford Sync. I am using iPhone 5s, and it drives me nuts when I am driving and all of a sudden it stops playing.

In fact I have taken my car to the dealer and asked if they have an update to ford sync.

I have noticed that it is not just bluetooth, but it happens when I use the cable as well.

I had no issues with bluetooth with ios 8 and my iPhone 5. My iPhone 6, it went to hell. I've got a Nissan which has its own built in address book, and figured out if I dialed through it or received a call, it worked, but if I attempted to dial from the phone or Siri, no call audio would go through (but the phone would say it was in bluetooth). Siri, voice nav, anything else would transmit via bluetooth just fine.

Once I updated to 8.0.2, it's gotten better. Now, if I initiate a call from the phone or Siri, while it immediately disconnects the bluetooth, it hands it back off within a few seconds of the person answering.

So I am not the only one. After updating to 8.0.2 on iPhone 6, I am not able to see on car Bluetooth when new call comes in. When I diall from phone, it shows on car dashboard that call is connected but no audio !!

Obviously iPhone alone without Bluetooth works.

What's wrong with apple?

And now for something completely different.

"Security researchers have claimed to discover the first Apple iOS Trojan attack in a move to thwart the communications of pro-democracy Hong Kong activists."

Story on /.

Working in my Car just fine. In fact, it was just slightly buggy with 8.0 but 8.02 fixed it and it's working perfectly.

Now MyFordSync by Micro$oft is totally other story....

Do you have all day?

How many punches can Apple deflect with these iOS 8 issues?

Sounds like they need some more competent Test Engineers or is Apples development model use development engineers as their testers...

I think Apple is punking it's consumers and laughing in the lab.
They will release the BUG free version in several weeks.

IOS8 on new iPhone 6 has problems with bluetooth connecting to Parrot headphones - but if you try it repeatedly, turning bluetooth on and off, and wait a good long time (it reports that it spots the device, but takes about 3-4 to complete the first connection) it eventually works.

Bluetooth to Bose Soundlink was fine.

Bluetooth to 2014 Mercedes GLK250 was fine for phone calls.

Lightening to 2014 Mercedes GLK250 for music playback is spotty - sometimes get the not authorized device warning, disconnect and reconnect and it works. But also spotty connection - connection cuts out randomly, and random static as well. iPhone 5 with ios7 worked flawlessly in the same car.

I've been a big apple fan since they went Intel on the mac, but this is the first time I'm embarrassed to say Apple should be embarrassed at their lack of attention to detail on this release. Poor Jobs must be turning over in his grave saying "at least it USED to be that" "it just works." Tim Cook please get your folks' act together or turn the company over to someone who can care and get it done RIGHT. If it doesn't "just work" Apple loses half its reason for being the preferred premium brand products.

Zero Issues

No problems whatsoever on my CR-V. It connects quickly and have not had any issues calling or receiving.

Sounds an iPhone 6 Issue Only

That doesn't sound to be an issue with iOS, at least for me, I have one 6 and one 5S, works fine at the 5S, but is broken on my 6 :(

iPhone 6 128Gb verizon. Had significant bluetooth connectivity issues on 2013 BMW 335 and 2013 Subaru Outback. Reset all settings (which I reluctantly did) worked but for only 2 days (reset network settings did not work). The iCloud fix as described did work and has been ok for a week. This was before 8.02 update.

iOS 8 is just causing a whole bunch of problems to me on my iPhone 5s.
1. Settings crash often
2. There's a huge problem with the portrait orientation when playing videos.
3.

Other than updating to IOS8 which I shouldn't of done, this is why I always wait on Apple stuff.

Current waiting list.

1 - Mac Pro (benchmarks were not good enough, new processors coming.)

2 - iPhone 6 plus - (do I need to say why?)

3 - Yosemite, when released. Will wait 6 months.

I think the Yosemite .0 will be solid, thanks to the extensive public beta.

I hope they will consider doing one for the next iOS as well.
