They still haven't fixed the dictionary bug and loads of intermittent layout bugs. What a joke.
What happened to Apple's QA department?

Huh! QA? What?
If the issue isn't fixed, it's probably considering low priority and it's not QA who would decide that.

You can now transfer photos and videos from the iPad onto an iPhone with a cable. Not sure why, but you can.

yeah equality for all and privacy rights are so divisive.

"The road to hell is paved with good intention."

Sometimes the best of ideas can be distorted and the upstanding principles lost.

Hence, it is reasonable to be weary of those who can control information.

Apple Music buffering time is dramatically shorter for me, almost instant now, rivalling Spotify at last.

Multi tasking seems to have been updated. No blur on the side and you swipe through one screen at a time. Still prefer the way it was done in iOS 8.

Edit: this is only the case when reduced motion is turned on.
Me too! I can't see any valid reason they changed it. I also liked having access to the quick contacts list. I'll never use it where it is now. That to me was a step backward.

Usb camera adaptor work with sony action cam to transfer 4k videos to iphone?

"There's also a new ability to long tap on the Reload button to request desktop site function"

This single feature is enough to make feel like I gout a whole new phone with this update! I hate mobile sites and getting a desktop site was very difficult sometimes (even with the previous method)!

Hey, that's nice -- now you can see the entire "screen" of an app, if you need to glance for info (as you could in iOS 8). Still wish they'd bring back the status bar in the multitasking menu...

As far as that simply being there in Safari, that was there since the release of iOS 9 (and was there in iOS 8 as well in a slightly different place).

You still don't see some part of it--you can see about 80-90% of it, but a part on the right side still gets covered up.

In Apple Music, still wish I could create a playlist (and even download for offline use) without it adding the tracks to My Music. Spotify does this. For example, if I create a playlist of 100 holiday songs, they will be added to my music and clutter it - after the holidays I am not interested in seeing them.

Ah! There it is. Thanks so much (would it have killed MR to include this small bit of info?)
How'd you get it? I have AT&T and it won't show up! Tried resetting network settings, turning it on and off, but still won't! Have iPad Air 2 (updated), MBP, iMac 5K

Any 5S owners who updated and care to share whether they've seen reduced overall lag so far?
Worst lag I get is when I turn on Mobile Data, it won't let me return or scroll for a few seconds (sometimes)...
TIA

couldn't you just remove from My Music after the holidays?

Anyone know if Music has been updated to allow you to quickly go to an artist or album when listening to playlists or shuffled songs? Have been longing for the ability to not have to go search for the album I want to listen to when I hear an individual song included elsewhere.

They've had this feature but it is a little hard to find. Play a song on your playlist, then press the ... on the bottom right of the screen. This will bring up a menu with the album art and some options. Press anywhere on the topmost box (you can press the album art) and it will take you to the album that song is on.

I think this is what you mean. And it took me a while to find so don't feel bad.

I love it! Plug your cable to the phone, the other side to the computer, bingo! Iphone is listed there, now I can back up all my pictures and video to my local backup drive. It took a white to get this, we know Apply is low .

Huh? iOS devices have always come up as media devices so you can transfer your photos and videos.

Can remove playlist but it doesn't appear to remove the songs. So if I have thousands of songs in my library these will be scattered throughout.
you gotta hit the three horizontal dots for that playlist and then you can hit delete

Updated carrier setting, Wifi calling is active in Watch App settings on iPhone, but when I put the phone into airplane mode and try to make a call on my watch, I get "Call Failed". Am I missing something?

Using my home wifi, and there's no specific setting for selecting a network on my watch, but assuming that it already knows my network because my phone has been connected on it.

I had the same experience on my first attempt. When I backed out of the phone app on my watch, I noticed the 'disconnected' red icon typically there when the watch is disconnected from the phone was no longer there. I went to the Connectivity Glance and next to Connected at the top, the typical iPhone icon was replaced with a cloud. I tried again to make the call and voila, went through. I was connected to my wifi hotspot with my iPhone in Airplane mode for my quick car trip to pick up food. Out of curiosity, while still on the call on my watch, I deactivated Airplane mode and the phone handoff icon quickly appeared on the left corner of the lock screen, allowing me to then handoff the call to my phone--all seamless and the caller never missed a beat of our conversation on their end.

Not sure how often I'll actually need to use this functionality but it's pretty damn cool.
