I've read a report saying that should work if you have a version of iTunes older than 12.4.Has anyone with a bricked iPad Pro tried to restore back to 9.3.1?
Rolling back to 9.3.1 did not work. Still get the same error. I tried on iTunes 12.3. Still looking for a solution that does not involve sending the brick back to the repair center.I've read a report saying that should work if you have a version of iTunes older than 12.4.
Good to know. I won't try that then. I'm sure Apple will release a fix (an updated 9.3.2 or a 9.3.3) in a few yours.Rolling back to 9.3.1 did not work. Still get the same error. I tried on iTunes 12.3. Still looking for a solution that does not involve sending the brick back to the repair center.
Not sure about everyone else but I did first do the OTA update.I keep on seeing OTA mentioned in relation to this problem.
Does this mean that updating from iTunes is fine?
I spent $1000 on a new iPad Pro 9.7 for my daughter who needs something for school. I convinced her to stay away from the macbook retina and go with the iPad Pro and keyboard. I told her today to update her new iPad for security reasons. IT WAS BRICKED. She is crying! She has a big test this week and her new laptop 'replacement' is BRICKED! She said, 'I told you dad never update!' from a 13 year old. Apple...WTF?!
Why does this not surprise a single person reading this.Updated perfectly on my iPad Pro. No issues to report.
True however it looks really really bad when it is your new just released top of the line Pro. That I would have thought would have been one of the items over-tested.
Anyone can post here and without any journalist validation the door is wide open to draw conclusions as long as it's accompanied with appropriately vague verbs like suggests." This author's style drives me crazy.
Hilarious.funny how new Android and Windows updates are more stable than anything Apple is putting out
