iOS 9.3: links in safari not clickable anymore

Can anyone of you Experts explain what the heck Apple Backend Servers have to do with the issue???

It isn't a backend issue. If it was, Safari on the desktop would have same problems.

I don't if this is related but on my iPP Safari was acting "sloppy". Would get stuck loading a page. Formatting was off on this site. And some others.
Wasn't acting right.

My 6s is working fine

I DFU'd the iPP back to stock. Seems better now.

When I disable javascript on my wife's iPhone 6 I can open the Google Search result links in Safari but clicking a link in iMessage still doesn't do anything and honestly disabling javascript is not really a solution.

Why would Apple manipulate a request to some webpage??? I mean there is no such thing than an Apple "Proxy" (thank god).

I don't understand why the Apple Support Guy insisted that this is a Apple Server issue. He could not explain what it meant though...

I too, have this paralyzing problem and have tried it all, even full restore does not fix nor does set up as new phone. My phone is essentially unusable as anything but ironically, a phone. I tweeted apple support, and posted on all forums I could find. Apple, please help!

I also noticed that switching to "Bing" as search provider allows you to open links from the search results but then it seems that on websites that use javascript for opening links no longer work. It seems to be related to javascript imho so maybe an issue with Nitro (?)

According to Apple Support there is an unknown (or not disclosed) issue on Apple's backend.

As a software engineer I have no clue how this could affect a local and even offline Computer?!

Is Apple capable of pushing some kind of filter lists to the Operating System? If so, you should be able to turn that crap off. I don't want a company to mess around with my stuff.

My solution for now is to run Airmail and set Chrome as the default browser. This at least lets me use email links.

Guys, as a temporary workaround, links are working in Opera mobile browser. Pages do not load as quickly as Safari, but you can use it as an option while we wait for the fix. Now would be a good time for default browser option. 😉

When I compare my iPhone 6 to my wife her iPhone 6 I find it striking how much sluggish her iPhone is. Scrolling through the settings is slower and even briefly hangts for a millisecond or so. Switching between apps feel much slower, and so on. I am currently backing up her iPhone with the goal to downgrade to iOS 9.2.1.

I believe that this is true for the Safari Suggestion service but then it should be resolved when you disabled it in the Settings but this does not resolve the problem unfortunately.

This started happening to me today. I don't think its anything to do with 9.3. It started happening before I installed it. I have now installed it because I thought it might fix the problem - I obviously hadn't read this forum at that point and it didn't work. I haven't had any betas on the phone (6s plus). If I switch default search engine to Bing from Google the problem goes away. It also goes away if I switch off Javascript in Safari preferences

Well if it doesn't need 9.3 to happen, that would explain why it wasn't in any of the betas.

This solved the problem for a little with regards some links, like ones directly from a search engine, however a lot of links within websites still didn't work. After a VERY short while I can't even open links from Bing now... I could when I first altered the settings that you suggested. Little bit frustrated - can't wait for my MacBook to come so I can continue to browse
