If there's more than 20-30 people in line do you other guys even expect to get one? Stock is so limited that waiting in line seems like a waste of time unless you're like one of the first 20 people.

I'm a fanboy, but I have a life. I ordered online, now I wait. No biggie. You guys knew this was all coming. I can understand waiting in line for hours if you lived someplace hot like California LOL

For numbers it depends on the store.. You really think Apple stores will only have enough for the first 20 people?

Waiting out in the cold sucks.. But I'm siting pretty comfortable inside a mall, listening to music and browsing the web on a laptop.

Winnipeg store closed now!

Winnipeg. They've closed the store and are going down the line handing out tickets that say which iPad we want :D.

ETA: now they're going down the line setting up iTunes accounts for people who don't have one.

I was goin to go to Best Buy near my house and there is a Futureshop right next to it and based on a friend's observation in Kingston (20ppl at BB and 4ppl at FS) I stopped at Futureshop.
I got here at 2:56pm and I was 10th or 11th in line. Line was indoors thankfully, no waiting in the cold. They didn't know about how much stock, but the line grew and they handed out tickets starting at 4:05. All models were available when it got to me. Got the one I wanted (16GB white). Must have been about 40ish or so people in line and there are 2-3 tickets left as of 4:30pm.

After my long experience at the Apple Store for the iPhone 4, I told myself I wouldn't line up again there. Glad I decided to go this route... 2hrs in warmth is not too bad. Futureshop people were really nice, even got to set up chairs in the store If you wanted.

Edit: they have a few 64GB black 3G models. Eglinton/Laird Futureshop. And some white 64GB 3G...

Any 16GB Wifi left there?

FS regent Winnipeg. Just handed out tickets. They have 5 of every model. Probably 35 in line right now, so as of now there will be leftovers. What size/type I have no idea.

Got Mine!! From Rogers!!

Just got home from the Rogers store. I picked up a 32GB 3G Black.

They had at least 100 in stock. Around 3:30 they moved the line into the store. Then at 4:00 they walked through the line and handed tickets to everyone based on the model that you wanted (ONE per customer!!). They then asked us what accessories we wanted and they wrote them and our names on the tickets. Then they took our tickets and photocopied them and returned the original to us. Then, at 5:00 they started taking 5 people at a time to another area of the store. We handed the Apple guy our ticket and then he got us our orders, including the extras we wanted. Then we moved to another area to pay and then left the store. PAINLESS!!! :D:D:apple::apple:

Holy crap, I passing through Eaton center at 9AM, and there were at least 100 people in line. On my way back around 2PM, there line stretched in every direction. Good thing I bought mine in the US with no line. :p

walmart?

so i went to like 3 walmarts now and all of them said they didn't get the shipment. one store said they dont even think they getting them until after a month later. does anyone know if walmart actually has them on launch date or was it just the stores i went to?

I'm posting this from my new iPad in Starbucks at Polo Park. The 7.75 hour wait in line was a blast and was well worth it!! Now I'm back on the road for the 6 hour drive home.

I was thinking of going to Eaton Centre (Toronto), but reading after reading some tweets about the massive lineups, I decided to go to Yorkdale instead. I got there at 1:30 and there were about 300 people before me. At 6:30, I walked out with the iPad of my choice. Sweet!

went to FS to see and the guy handing out the tickets still have tons but I think the 64gb wifi only sold out within the first 10 people in line as they only have 5

the limit is one per person

I was at a Future Shop today and even though I ended up being one person away from getting the iPad i wanted, the manager told me they had received 100, and that Apple said that supplies aren't going to be as constrained as they have been in America.

Lots left

At southgate apple store edmonton. Using ticket system. Lots left of all but 16g white. I am almost at front of line after only 20 mins waiting - arrived at 5:45.

Yes, please buy more.

Thank you and come again.

If you have only bought 1 iPad2 in Black, you should also buy another in White.

Better yet, buy more iPad2, each for your family members, mothers, sisters, brothers, fathers, grandmas, grandpas.

Help the economy!
