Brandon Futureshop had dozens of all models left at 6PM. Had to drive home for weekend from Winnipeg and figured I'd check to see if I could grab another. Walked in and out in 2 minutes.

I love small cities.

feel i should give mac outpost of london, ON a nice endorsement. they brought us coffees and were excellent in relaying information to the customers in line. i got the iPad of my choice and the entire experience was very positive.

I was thinking of going to Eaton Centre (Toronto), but reading after reading some tweets about the massive lineups, I decided to go to Yorkdale instead. I got there at 1:30 and there were about 300 people before me. At 6:30, I walked out with the iPad of my choice. Sweet!

That's good for you man, I went to Eaton's after work and got in line around 4PM... by the time they asked us which models we wanted everything was still available...

I was at the entrance of the Apple Store by 6:20 and was out of there by 6:30... good service...

Got a White 64Gb Wifi for myself, and a 16GB Wifi Black to sell to the lady in front of me in line for a easy $50.

I am very glad I got my first Apple experience today... it was fun chatting with the people in line.

Got a Smart Cover plus an After Market case as well... fun fun...

Best Buy in Lasalle had a line of about 100 people, I arrived at 4.30, and an hour later I was out of the store with an iPad 64 white and a blue cover. Met interesting people there and it was a very good experience, first time I ever waited in line for a product - and the iPad is amazing, even just for GarageBand!

Got my 16GB Wifi Black from Best Buy in Coquitlam. Lined up at about 12:30 and they started handing out tickets around 4:30.

By 5pm, the lineup was about 80 people deep, and everyone got a ticket and there were a few left over.

Loving this thing!

Future Shop seems to be have been a really convenient alternative to lining up with hundreds of people at an Apple store. You folks that didn't get out the door with your new iPad till 6:30 and onwards, I feel for you. I was out the door at 5:08!

I did freeze my ass off on the sidewalk outside for nearly 5 hours, and may now have a cold ... but I'd rather not focus on that :D

Seriously though, I was expecting another iPhone4 debacle. Plenty of iPads were available at 5pm today; I screwed around for almost 2 months last summer, driving all over hell and creation trying to find somewhere that had iPhone4s in stock. Today was a breeze, met some cool people and got exactly the model I wanted!

anyone experiencing light bleeding on their new iPad2? the one I got from Futureshop in Langley had some light bleed.

anyone in vancouver and know about the lines?

I was at Richmond Centre lining up, i went there at 4:10pm and they came out handing out tickets for what they have left. At the time when they came to me, I could choose 64GB Wifi White, all black Wifi, and 64GB 3G black. I was lined up at that entrance with the chinese restaurant (Tim horton's entrance). I came out with a purchased ipad at 7:30

Went to Rideau centre Apple store at 7:15 this evening and walked out in 10 minutes with a white 32GB wifi. No more huge lineups and about 200 iPads stacked in the store. Lots of staff to help everybody and very smooth process.

So glad I didn't go earlier to wait in line. We are so lucky compared to what has been going on in the States.

I got inside Future Shop today at 5:05pm, got the last white ipad 2 64gb 3g. so happy :) I went downtown Montreal at noon and there was already a line up of 50 people. I feel for those guys. haha.

Sounds like non-Apple stores had some decent stock and everyone had luck at getting what they wanted.

Now I've got another problem, my 3 year old won't stop using it lol.

I went to the Apple Store at Rideau Centre in Ottawa this morning. Got there just before the store opened at 0930, got in a line of about 50 people and got a white 64 GB Wifi version. Also wanted a 64 GB WiFi black but they were sold out of those. Stock seemed to be quite good, they had all the covers except the red leather one.

For people who lives in Vancouver, I just walked in to Richmond Center Apple store at 830am and walked out with my 16GB white at 845.

Just out of curiousity, did anyone not get an iPad?

I walked into a store at 5 and was able to get one...

Still looking for a 64 GB Black WiFi unit in Ottawa. If anyone hears when the Ottawa Apple store will get more stock, please post.

As mentioned earlier, I was lucky enough to get the white one this morning, but other daughter insisted on the black.

I went to Market Mall at 8. Had iPad in hand by 9:20 PM. They had lots of stock, but when speaking with Gavin, the Store Manager, he said they would probably be out by 10 AM tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the info. I may try to call around monday and see if there are any left. Hopefully either the Apple Store or Northland Mall has them in stock monday.

My april 22 delivery date from apple.ca isnt so pleasing

I lined up at the downtown Vancouver Apple Store at noon and the line was half a block long and 100 or so people deep. By around 5pm it was two and a half blocks long. Crazy.

The Apple reps were great with free coffee and umbrellas. Around 2pm they went by and got a tally of what people wanted and anybody who was asked was pretty much guaranteed a iPad. I got my 32GB wifi iPad in black at 6 although the white 16 3G sold out early. Loving it!
