Is the backlight bleed visible during normal operation, I mean when the screen is not completely black?

Is the backlight bleed visible during normal operation, I mean when the screen is not completely black?
Not at all so far. I haven't watched any movies on it yet though, so once I do that it may change my opinion a little bit. I kinda felt like a tool, I was sitting in my bathroom with the door closed and the lights off staring a black screen with the brightness cranked all the way up just to test for this. Honestly if it weren't for this forum I probably wouldn't have even noticed. Guess ignorance really is bliss sometimes.
Just ordered a 32gb Black Wifi 5 minutes ago. UPS 2 day shipping for $12. I'll chime in when it's arrived! Here's to hoping the backorder gets replenished sometime today...

As of the close of business yesterday they had a few Verizon 64GB White models available, they sold out this morning early (8:00-9:30ish am EST)
Then around 10:30 ish it showed back in stock, I called to order, and was turned away, with no stock available, and the phone rep. was a douche.
Then I checked this page AGAIN:

STILL IN STOCK, I tried their Chat app, they guy said they just got a shipment in receiving, told him I was told no stock, no shipments received, he said call back ASAP, as there aren't that many in this mornings receiving (didnt specify how many), I called back, and surely enough, this different, courteous rep processed my order, plus a green smart cover, and 2-day shipping for 8 dollars, should have it at my door by Tuesday! XD
I feel bad for those who cannot find one and suffer scalping prices, but keep your head up and looking, eventually you'll find one MSRP, and good luck.

Good thing is, that unless you reside in NY, you pay no taxes.
I saved about 60-odd dollars since I paid no taxes

Just saw that the White 16GB Verizon model is in stock so called them up and changed my preorder from the black to the white and now my order has been sent to the warehouse. Good stuff.
And they'll all be gone by the time I get to the bank.
Maybe a dumb question but if I can snag that Verizon Model it's prepaid right? And could I still use the wifi even if I chose not to pay for 3G that particular month?And they'll all be gone by the time I get to the bank.

They HAD, emphasis on had, received a small shipment of Verizon white 64GB, but that model sold out within 40 minutes(approx.) from when it became available.
Keep up your hopes, as they are still receiving stock as far as I'm aware, whatever model you are looking for may pop-up when you least expect as "in stock"
Sorry, my wording was a little deceiving. I should have said ordered, not purchased, in my first post. Ordered from BH.
I just did the same thing. I had a Black 16GB Verizon on pre-order but just called them up and had it switch. The sales guy, Steve, was actually helpful unlike the other salespeople I have talked to recently from B&H.
I talked to a guy in the chat and he said they would probably go pretty quickly. I have to wait until I go to the bank and deposit my paycheck to be able to order and that won't be for almost 2 hours so I'm not optimistic. The sad part is that I meant to go at 8:30 but fell asleep.
Do I go for it?
I have a 32 gig Verizon Black on backorder. Do I change it to the 16 gig white and get it faster? Really on the fence here. I don't put a lot of music on mine but I did notice that if I have a few movies on the Pad, it eats up a bunch of space on my existing 16 gig. Opinions?

A question only you can answer, if you feel you HAVE to have it, go for it 'nd get the 16GB WHT VERiZON ver.
If you feel the adrenaline-rush will fade and you will regret the 16 vs 32GB, then hold out.
You can always rotate which movies you keep on hand inside/on the iPad, so ball's in your court?
I called and I just missed it! The site says it is in stock, but it is now sold out. Oh, well. I'll keep checking.

Pretty good considering I ordered at 10:53 am today(EST time zone) should have my goods Tuesday morning.
Before last night I had never even heard of B&H, and was sceptical whether they were/are legit, but now that I know, I will gladly turn to them for future electronics purchases.
Screw that 5 week wait, and the scalpers >
