wow nice, I know mine is coming too as it won't let me cancel.

I suspect this 2-3 weeks thing is just apple covering their backs. maybe we will get it pretty quick if we order tonight?

Anyone know where best chance of getting ipad 2 in Derby tomorrow? Currys not stocking them and PC World said only 2000 to be shared out between 150stores.

Cazz, could you confirm where you got this information from?

I've just called the PC World call centre and they couldn't believe what I told them from the info above. He called his supervisor to check and they're not doing it. He did mention Apple might be doing something on similar nature, but didn't know what that was all about.

Sounds too good to be true.

Maybe try KRCS in town? I'm from Derby but I'm heading up to Meadowhall in Sheffield to get mine.

too good to be true? I sold my wifi 64gb ipad on ebay AFTER the price cut and announcement for £380 including postage!

yes i do and i dont no how there working out the prices for it, all i know is what i saw on the notice mate

I've read the lat 10-12 pages or so of this thread and I noticed that noone seems to have mentioned that Apple have reduced the prices of iPad2 over iPad in the UK? The first time I have seen this is on the iPad pages that went up on the Apple store this afternoon.

iPad was 429/499/599 for Wifi yet iPad2 is 399/479/559 so between a £20 and £40 reduction depending on the model. Same discounts on the 3G variants.

Alternatively, I may have missed this previously and this has been known for a while?!

I'd say there's something horribly wrong with your info if the call centre have no idea about. Not saying you're lying, but I really do see this too good to be true unless Apple want original iPads back for refurb sales.

Might have to stick with my original iPad then until iPad3.

its honestly truee! theres no way i can provide proof because im at home now but it was on there, £150 for ipad wifi, £200 for 3g ipads and then £10 for any other tablet, this can be spent towards anything else in store if your not buying another ipad
