iPad 2 UK Thread

Looks like I'm with the staying up to 1am crowd as could only get the morning off work! At least have got my 3DS a day early to keep me busy!

I too will be going to the Norwich Apple store although not as early as you. I'll be at work. Think I can get away around 2.45 without too much hassle. Might try and get away earlier though...
 
Just reserved an iPad 2 at local comet store!!!!

Been round the stores asking about stock tomorrow and got the "first come first serve" "not many stock" "5pm tomorrow". Thought I'd pop into local comet on way home and was very surprised to see a White iPad 2 on display!

Asked can I buy now and was told "no but you can reserve" . Guy said I couldn't pay for it as was on system £12k! but I could pay money onto a gift card and then reserve it.

So got a black 32 gb wifi reserved with my name on it! Can pick up tomorrow after 5pm.

Just got your PM, see you there. I'm easily identified by the hair I stole from a woman, a Chapfield Apple Teeshirt (how could I not wear that tomorrow, I really want to troll my colleagues with fake fanboyism) and iPad1 in the most epic red leather case the universe has to offer. Orange confirmed their prices, seem similar to Voda per month (£25 to existing customers on PM or PAYG) but cheaper for the iPad 2. 16gb is £199, 32gb £249 and 64gb is £349. But doesn't seem like they are doing it without a contract.
 
Can you walk out with a 3G version and not have it activated.

I called up Manchester Arndale Apple store and the staff member was asking me to bring my Micro SIM with me or purchase a SIM in-store hmmm

This is what I was saying in my earlier post. They apparently have a stupid amount of stock. Sure it's gonna sell but they're not short.

oh crap!!! actually... only 1 of my 1 clicks has come through.. and as soon as i received the email confirmation i cancelled it... and i;'ve got the confirmation of that cancellation.

god knows what's happened to the other 1 clicks though!!

i've kept the non 1 click order though.. which i cannot cancel as get the same message.. although i bet if you call apple, they would be able to do it for you.. i mean.. how the hell can it be prepared for shipment?

I'm the same one of one click orders showed later this afternoon so I just cancelled it and kept the traditional order I placed, not risking the 1 click carry on later, actually does not save that much time as all my info is on apple account anyway.
Not long now but going to be a long night and even longer tomorrow , good luck to all

I would imagine this will only apply if you ask for the personal setup.
 
hey guys, should I be ok to turn upto a PC world near me on that registered apple sellers list posted earlier around 4ish for the 5 launch ?

or has there been any news on pc world over the last couple of days ? as i havent been able to keep upto date with the thread.
