Just got my ticket, gauranteed the model I want! Brighton is very well stocked.

How does that work? did they walk down the line saying "what model do you want", and then gave a ticket per model?

Still don't have my confirmation email from my one click & can't click on the order status bar without getting an error.

There's a few of us in that boat.

Go to the US Apple Store where you can check your order without problem.

You can also phone up Apple's robot assistant (provided you have a web order number noted down) and she can give you the status of the order.

I spoke to someone at customer services earlier this afternoon and they told me that the confirmation emails are taking "up to 24 hours" because of the sheer volume of them. She also had a look at my order and made sure there was no problems with it.

Are other people finding Comet stores are letting people reserve models over the phone now as long as you're there at 5? I just called Comet Edinburgh and they took my name and reserved one (yay!) - the last one in stock of the model I wanted apparently. It was a little confused and I'm not entirely sure I believed them, but they said come before 5:30 and it's mine...

I am now not sure if I should go there or queue elsewhere with likely bigger stock (I can't queue til 4pm). Did Comet reserve today for anyone else?

I guess it's too good to be true so I'm cynical!

Also: anyone in Edinburgh have news on stock and queue levels elsewhere?

Anyone in the forum have the answer(s) to this. I am stuck in the office nearby but want to know if there is any point in coming down.

There's about 150 people there at the moment. My mate is in line at about 20th position :D

Apple employees just go down the line asking you what model you want. They've sold out of the White 16GB 3G.

pretty much. no idea how you contact the store directly.

Any news on the bullring queue? Length, stock etc?

When will we know if no more are available and there is no point queuing?

Comet will hold if you go in the store. They will also sell a smart cover prior to 5.

Apple store Plymouth only has 15 people at 3pm in the queue. They have stock. So this is the best place to be.

Looks like that site is getting hammered.

gonna set off for meadowhall in a couple of mins. should get there in an hour. i hope they have lots left for me!

That's the thing - they reserved for me over the phone, no credit card, just a phone number. I was shocked! And thus a little nervous.

For those asking, I got the number to my local Comet from http://www.saynoto0870.com

think it depends on your local comet

i just tried mine (thanks for the link btw!) and they are not taking any reservations at all, they say whoever is here at 5pm will get dibs.

Comet at Longwell Green have just one 64GB 3G unit for sale at 5pm...

Cheers David
