That's what the status of my order was (is?) when I placed it.
Forward order means back order.
Less than 1MP...and this isn't even one of those "it's not about MPs it's about the sensor". Both sensor and MP count are all but useless.
Really, both cameras are only 1mp ?!
Surprised they wud get away With Tht ! FaceTime looks so good on it aswel, or is Tht just in the videos ?

The camera is rubbish. I can't see anybody being able to use it for anything more demanding than Facetime.
Below a photo of my desk taken with iPad 2 rear camera, you can't tell how truly awful it is unless you click to make it bigger. But trust me, it's bad. I think the front camera is slightly better, but still terrible for still photos. 720p My A***

In my opinion its unacceptable. This is a £500 device, I can get disposable camera for £3 which takes better photos.
720p is actually 0.92mp, not 0.7mp
Doh! Right you are. Still, my point (sort of) stands - You pull a still from a home shot "HD" video at 720p and it's not going to look fantastic.

I have an extra one (bro wants 3g) but im looking to recoup my cost for parking and petrol, costed me £35-40.

Less than 1MP. 0.69MP...same as that of the iPod touch. Its not true 720p either (960x720). But Apple have done optimizations to allow FaceTime/video recording to look palatable. Still doesn't change the fact that it's a poor camera...polished poor camera but poor nonetheless

Ordered mine Friday evening from Tesco. Must have got one of the last white 32GB wifi ones as straight after I ordered, it (shortly followed by all other models) went out of stock.
Arrived this morning (today coincidentally happens to be my birthday!) about 9:30.
Very happy with it so far. Had some great fun with Photo Booth.
It seems to have the same backlight bleed as all the others, but it's much less noticeable than I expected. With the brightness in the middle, it's only noticeable in a dark room with something very dark on the screen, and even then not that much even.

I have just ordered mine tonight from Apple online.
Estimated dispatch is 25th of April
Hope they can get them out quicker than 3-4 weeks. I just missed out on ordering from Tesco when they had them in stock. As I went to checkout it told me on the next screen it was OOS.
