iPad 2 UK Thread

Does anyone know if the email is the final confirmation, or if seeing the confirmation page (that says "Thank you for reserving items for pick-up at the Apple Retail Store. You'll receive an email confirmation shortly...") means they have you on the system?
 
The store reservation only goes up to 12pm? I cant get there till after work so is it impossible to do the store reservation thing at 9pm?
 
What happens if one is late for their 30 minute slot? A bit worried as I have a meeting until 2:15 (I thought 2) which I did not see until after I booked the 2:30 to 3 slot!!!

My office is behind Selfridges so kind of far from Covent Garden (Regent would have been IDEAL)

It's only a 15 minute slot. (Well it is for mine. Between 1:45 & 2:00)

Get someone to go to the Apple store for you? Or skip the meeting? Re-sceduule the meeting? Suggest an al-fresco meeting in Coventry garden. Then pop to the loo (apple store at 2:30), why not attend the meeting virtually?

Multipple options. But whatever you do. Don't miss the iPad.

Yet another epic fail. I reckon by the time I actually get one elsewhere my original apple order will have shipped!
 
My reservation is an hour one 12-1pm too, trouble is in my haste to reserve one I chose 12-1pm, but the Tesco one says available for pickup from 4pm. Now what do I do?!?!

Risk leaving the Apple reservation, and hope Tesco comes through, or phone Apple and say cant get there till 5pm (is that allowed?)

Worried now, have chance of 2 at different stores and may end up with none :eek:

Also left the Apple online still says 25th April...
 
Any 16GBs?

Did they even re-stock any 16GB Wi-Fi only? I never saw one of them available in any of the stores... the others went quickly but at least there were some available.

Also, you can only reserve for an hour up to midday, is that correct? How is anyone who works going to pick one up? :mad:

I checked a few of them after I had my 32GB one and they only seemed to have the 32GB & 64GB ones.
 
I have a spare 32Gb wifi only black iPad still sealed - even the outer 2 boxes are sealed around the main box (good Tesco packing). Happy to see it go to a good home for £479. Available for collecting from Clapham, London or Tonbridge Kent for the next 3 days...
 
I've no idea how likely they are to get them, but Insight are listing iPad 2s as coming in stock on Friday >here<.

The site shows they're expecting:

iPad 2 arrived at 11:46 today from Currys, so very happy :D, its damn good.
Thanks for keeping me up to date with everything thats been going on.

Hope you get the iPad you want if you've yet to receive yours! Byeeeeee!
 
Got a reservation at 8:30-8:45 at the arndale, according to store opening times it doesn't open till 9.30, I'm hoping it's opening earlier tomorrow! Anyone else got an early reservation??

Not yet shipped
Estimated Shipping: 15 Apr, 2011
Estimated Delivery: 26 Apr, 2011

So a nice long wait.

I would like know if anybody else got the same notification and if there order status is going forward.

Exactly the same with me - well it does say 'estimated' lol
 
Not surprised there are so many issues reserving one when some of you herberts are booking them left, right and centre.

Why don't you work out when you are free to collect it and then base your reservation on that (assuming that suggestion isn't too radical)?
 
Just in case people are interested, the order I placed at 7am this morning with Tesco has now been despatched, will be delivered tomorrow.

32gb Black Wi-fi model. Next day free delivery. With Tesco. Madness.

mmm mine still says in warehouse awaiting dispatch, although I opted to pick up at store..
