i'll be getting a smart cover.. i have my tom bihn ristretto bag, which is ace :)

See, I'll probably end up getting a smart cover anyways when I buy it :)

Ive bought this

I'll use that when transporting/not in use, and also going to get a smart case for propping up etc. I'll probably just rest the iPad on the neoprene case under normal usage.

See, I have my laptop, the incase, one which is pretty much that but for a 13", so I suppose I could just just that to take it home etc as I generally won't be taking my laptop when I do.

Hopefully someone will make a back case, or decent slip for it which works with the Smart cover. :)

Also, while I'm still undecided on which model, is there any decent apps, or is it possible to stream over wifi from your laptop to the ipad then to display it on tv screens through their HDMI output? That would be cool and would allow me to probably survive with a 32gb and let me watch stuff on the tv xD

I'd rather have no/less serious backlight bleed than get it rushed to us for the 25th.

'survive with my 32' :p
what yah talking about???!!! that is plenty! if you need more - just resync with new movies!

It's likely I'll end up with the 32 version, but its just that I plan on having a few full seasons of shows on there, which for a 170mb show takes up about 4gb a season as it is.

Guess will depend on pricing.

Just called Micro Anvika and they seemed to be adamant that they should be stocking the iPad 2 on the 25th, but had nothing in concrete.

... bit of a contradiction in my opinion.

Cheers for the info.

I visited my local John Lewis today and the guy seemed a bit clueless as to whether or not they'd have them on launch day. First off, he said he wasn't too sure if they'd actually have them on "the 21st". Then he mentioned that they get deliveries at about 12 (I assumed midday). To be fair I think I asked quite an inexperienced employee... I just keep remembering the number of times I went in there asking when they'd get the iPod touch in stock

For those wanting more reassurance on the 25th March launch front, just checked out the schedule of workshops and events on my local Apple store's website.

25th March - "There are no workshops scheduled for today"

I don't know if this is an automated/default kinda thing but just sparks that little bit more hope for no launch delay!

I've been waiting for the announcement of the delay all day!

What model did you have and how much it go for if ya dont mind me asking?

I'm in Canada, and I too worry about a possible delay - like what happened to us last year with the original iPad.
But what's different this time is Apple gave a specific date. Steve Jobs said March 25th.
Last year for the original iPad in Canada and the other countries that were pushed back an extra month it was always given as April. Not a specific date in April, just April. Then it got pushed back.
So this time Apple gave a specific date, which leads me to believe they'll been putting aside stock for the international launch.
Now with the huge demand, may the stock for the international launch be less? Maybe, but I believe Apple has been setting aside stock for the launch -- hence the long wait now for Americans ordering online.
Just my thoughts.

I was there for the iPhone 4 launch and it was a bit of a shambles - pre reserved but still had to queue for nearly 4 hours. The staff were unable to work out that they should have a separate queue for SIM free handsets - the activations were taking all the time up. Not sure I'll do that again for iPad 2. I think I'll just order online and wait.

Just checked the Liverpool store (my local) and the workshops are still running; the irony of it too, at 2pm they have a 'Meet your new iPad' workshop :p
