You need valid ID in order to collect. That ID obviously has to match the name on the reservation. I'm not sure what ID they accept but something like a driver's license or passport will obviously be fine.

Aw your joking all I have with me is my Credit Card to buy it with which is same name as on email and Apple ID :0

Will this be ok? Won't have time to go home and get licence 1st, and obviously this puts out the fact my forwarded email working for my mate!?!
 
I also know the impatience - constantly checking order status, Online retailers, forums - I seem to miss news of stock available online.

Seriously, a bloke I know said "got an new iPad yet? I coulda got you one, there were dozens in the :apple: store, and could have walked straight in and bought one for you!" :eek: Of course that was one of the nearest stores, (100+ miles away), and he won't be popping back just to check :rolleyes:

I have kind of accepted 15th as the dispatch date, hoping the 10 days delivery will be less, as I have ordered only the iPad, (I'll maybe buy a cover later).

I was hoping that with so many of you cancelling your orders, I would see a change in the date, but nothing so far. I was also thinking that any manufacturing "issues" would be addressed, so the extra wait may be to my benefit.....

Anyway, seen a 64gb black wifi? hands off, thats mine, that is! :D

I phoned the Apple store where I have my reservation earlier and asked if the email confirmation on my iPhone is enough. I was told it is...
 
After realising that the iPhone 5 wont come out this year and reading about Photoshop for iPad, i got up this morning intent on buying one, but not realising quite the shortage in London. Very annoying. Anyone of stores getting restocked over the weekend?

Any idea what the stock levels were like. Unfortunately, I'm after 16GB 3G Black, which isn't listed anymore, but when I looked I saw 'stock of 2' for the 16GB 3G White, and 'stock of 5' for the 32GB WiFi Black.
 
Comet came up trumps for me and delivered today my 64gb 3G black :)

Certainly a decent speed bump with graphics and browsing although the brightness doesn't seem as good as my iPad one!

Took ages to restore all my apps onto it over 2 hours :eek:
 
Just reserved a 16GB wifi white from john lewis. Available to pickup from their store tomorrow! They seem to only have the 16GB wifi white in stock though.
 
hi chaps. just had to register to say thanks for the help hunting down an ipad.

going to collect mine from liverpool john lewis tomorrow. got the 16g in white wifi.
 
Just ordered 32Gb white wifi from John Lewis for collection tomorrow.

Here is what happened:

1)Saw "Jonnyb" saying that there is new stock on JL website.
2)Models in stock were not the ones I wanted
3)What i realised was that JL only released one or two models at once, so when one model is sold out, they would release another model to sell
4)Waited around for a bit until the model I wanted came up and ordered it :)

guys dont trust the "Email me when in stock" feature, because although I registered for it, i never received an email when it was actually in stock.

and plus when JL has a model in stock, wait around coz they release them one by one

you're right! 32gb Black is in stock
 
Just to say wish everyone luck, I had ordered with apple online and after seeing everyone get them from tescos, etc I cancelled sunday. Finally the funds were released back today and luckily last night grabbed a reserve for a 32GB black wif.

I have missed my iPad since selling iPad 1 3 weeks ago now, nice to have it and no sign of light bleed either - have only tried some boxed films but can't see anything! So all good in my eyes!

Keep on at the 9pm if you can all, it works! Have a feeling there will be more tonight with tomorrow being saturday!
