My iPad is still here in my house, where it has been for the last two weeks :D

Luckily Tesco did a much better job than Apple - so I cancelled the Apple order placed at 12.30 on launch morning, once Tesco's delivered!

I've had mine 15 days and I'm loving it to bits... you chaps who are still patiently waiting for Apple - not long now by the sound of things, and I hope you'll love your new iPad as much as I do - have fun ;)

I collect mine today from the apple store between 2pm and 3pm. Hope they kept it back!!

In all fairness the only reason i havent cancelled my order was becasue i got a shed load of nectar points from ordering online (i had a voucher for 3x nectar on any online purchases at apple from 11 march to 26th march... soooo happy)

I take it that it's still not possible to just walk in and buy an iPad2 from an Apple Store.
Cambridge and Norwich stores are closest to me....

I think most are reserving online after 9pm for the next day.

I tried that today; called the Meadowhall store and was surprised to be told they'd got all models in stock. Not wanting to be disappointed, I explained that it would take me at least 90 minutes to drive to the store, and asked if they had enough of the 64GB Wi-Fi model to even be worth trying. I was assured they had plenty, in both black and white.

Well, maybe they did, but they were all sold out when I arrived in the store 75 minutes later.

I bought a smart cover to make myself feel better.

I didn't feel better.

Steve.

Ah that sucks man, the "I didn't feel better" line made me laugh though. I can only imagine being in that situation. I almost bought a smart cover from an apple store 2 weeks ago, the red leather one. Good job I didn't as I'm still waiting for my iPad 2 to be delivered from Three

The reserve system works well! reserved at 9pm last night a ipad 2 white 16GB at the metrocentre store, gateshead.

Popped in today between 2 and 3pm and there it was! 15 minutes later walking out.....

LOVE IT! did'nt think it would be much different to my original but it is, both in looks and speed, especially internet web browsing and games.:D:D

Got the green cover, looks good with the white ipad.

Congratulations on your long wait being over! ;)

Went in to the Keighley Comet at lunchtime and was told that they had a single iPad in stock - 32Mb WiFi can't remember the colour - decided to order a 32Mb 3G in black with estimated delivery between 7 and 14 days.

We'll see. It's my birthday next week so it would be great for it to arrive in time :D

How much are these "32mb" iPads!? Should be dirt cheap! Enough space for one app hah.
Joking aside I hope you enjoy it. I'm patiently waiting for mine which is due for delivery tomorrow from Apple. But sadly I won't be home till Sunday. So won't be able to play with it till Monday!

Aagh! Long day ...

Went into my local Comet in Greenwich today and managed to get the one I wanted - 32GB wifi only in Black. They said this was the first shipment they'd had in for a while and only had about 5 or 6 in total. Just got lucky.

Had tried several times to reserve online from Apple with no luck. Was at Bluewater last night and they had none.

I am so frustrated I made an account to just so I can rant along with others desperate to get their Ipads.

I called Meadowhall Apple store, and of course they had none in (actually they had a 3g one, I am after the base wifi 16gb model).

Worse came though. From today, the "reserve at 9pm" scheme is ending according to the Meadowhall guy I called. For all branches. My nearest Apple store is a 2 hour drive, so by the time I drive to any store they aren't going to have any in -if they do have them when I call and apparently resaerve by phone is a big no-no at Apple-, the reserve system was my only hope of getting one in the next 2 weeks.

Frustration is killing me.

Same, for the past week I've been trying to reserve an iPad 64GB + 3G; but, if any, there's always the 16GB with wifi left; however, if today is the last day to reserve it, then, I'll just ring and ask every day.

I want to get it from the Apple store, so I can get a full refund after 14days (blacklight bleeding), and I don't want to order it, as I've had a few (minor) problems in the past with ordering things, from Apple - I prefer to buy it; open it; check it for backlight bleeding; return it (if it's bad / noticeable); get a new one (if they have any more); check it; return it (if it's bad / noticeable) and then wait, as I can only buy two.

If you mean you're restricted because of the '2 per customer' rule it's fairly clear (even from these forums) that many people are purchasing more than 2!!

I have to admit, I'd have liked to see it enforced as it could have meant that there were more iPads available for those still in the hunt :D

Is that the one between Sainsbury's and B&Q?

Ok, well... officially I can't buy more than two, but I can dependent on my genius. However, I don't think that'll be the limiting factor: the lack of iPad in stock will be. Right now, Medowhall has a grand total of no 64GB + 3G iPads. That's why I want to reserve it.

I also see no reason why they won't let me use my credit card to pay for the Ipad they have in stock, and then go pick it up later in the day.

I don't get their motives, sometimes.
